hi brother
i am developing one application in which
1) i need to fetch the user name from the computer how currently log in
2) i need to fetch the all application which is install on the computer for example in the computer they install Ms.Net,Ms Office etc
3) i need to restric the for accessing some install software in the computer for example if developer user sign in i will give all permission if suppose any network people or some guest user loggin i want restric them to accessing Ms.Net software or some other software
The above three are my question out of 3 i have done first 2 that is fetching the user name from the computer and fetching the software install on the system but i am unable to do the thired one
can anyone help me for doing the thired question

i am new in .net and i don't no much programming still i am learning can u give some example to restrict the user to open any install software on the computer or system i will explain u clearly
suppose in a system MS Office and Acrobat Photo shop are install on the system
my requirement is i want to restrict the user to accessing the MS Office and he can access the Acrobat photo shop this my need
if you give some example regarding this its better for me

we have created an application with several aspx files which is installed on Windows XP and right now it is run using http://localhost/foldername/xyz.aspx. http://localhost/foldername also works.. and when i want to access the same from other systems.. i need to use http://172.16.____.___/foldername. i want to assign an url to the server's ip address so that it can be accessed by any other system.please help. i guess it has something very simple to do.. but i am unaware of it..

Which gives me an exception : "Thread was being aborted:mscorlib"
What could be the problem ?
