Did you already buy a domain name?
Did you already buy service from any vendor for hosting?
If both the answers are yes, than ask your vendor to help you. After all you are the one who is paying.
If one of the answer is No, than go ahead and do some research for buying these two.

Get the ftp details from the vendor and upload your files using your ftp credentials after your development and testing.

How to merge cells in grid view
|
|
|
|
|
What do you mean by merging cells? Do you want to show two cells value in one cell?
Apurva Kaushal
|
|
|
|
|
for example
customername product name quantity
Arun AAA 1
Arun ccc 1
kumar BBB 2
i want to display in grid view only display arun in one column
|
|
|
|
|
I am not sure whether I got your problem correct but according to my understanding the easier way with which you can achieve this is by taking the values in the same way from database i.e. as one column only.
Some thing like "select customername + productname + quantity as columnname from tabname"
Apurva Kaushal
|
|
|
|
|
//you have to do the rest according to your requirement
GridView1.Rows[0].Cells[0].ColumnSpan = 4;
GridView1.Rows[0].Cells[0].RowSpan = 4;

Hi, I have a ASP.NET solution that works fine...most of the time. I just moved it to a server and now when I get errors it shows this in the exception:
"at CB.ResizeImage(String OriginalFile, String NewFile, Int32 NewWidth) in C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\WebSites\xxxx\indexCB.cs:line 288"
But its not running from that dir anymore? And its not even using that .cs file, its using the DLL that has been compiled to the bin directory.
Thanks

what error stands infront of 'at CB.ResizeImage(String OriginalFile, String NewFile, Int32 NewWidth) in...' ?
In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

when i try to access my website from my ftp space this error appeared
i tried to edit the config file but nothing new
any suggestion?
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customerrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customerrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
<configuration><br />
<system.web><br />
<customErrors mode="Off"/><br />
</system.web><br />
</configuration>
Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customerrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Maite, atleast make the debugging enabled so that you atleast know what the error is and the place where it occured.

You got this error message because a page you are accssing contains syntax or runtime error but current configuration of asp.net prevent the actual error message. Please review the pages in your site and also place error handling claue in your web.config.

If any of the subfolder of your website under iis has web.config files, then error might be occured.
Copy the files in the folder 'WebSite1' to 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WebSite1' instead of 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Grid view color change\WebSite1\' and then configure it as a website in IIS.
Hope this will help you.

Website1 should be specified as a website. Use the ConvertToApplication menu option in the IIS on this folder.

I just recently started messing with ASP.NET, and when I wanted to move my website to an IIS server I have It copies fine.
The webpages also seem to functioning properly, but I get an error each time I attempt to log in.
It works exactly the way I want it when I debug but breaks when I copy.
