Hi all,
Since i am using ajax,so to display the messages i am using ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript. and i am getting messages but the problem is after getting message when i click ok other controls on the page doesn't work.
can any one tell me the solution for it.

 Could AnyOne Answer To MY Question?
I am using 2 reorderlist Controls.
My Module is by selecting year & State from listbox Dropdownlist, Import the data from database to the table1(Reorderlist1) W.R.To State And Year.I have to move that data to another table2(Reorderlist2).
I have to add checkbox in Table 1 & 2.By selecting Checkboxes i have to move the data from one table to another table using reordering.
QQ) How to add checkbox to the Reorderlist?after adding checkbox what is the nexy step?

Are you talking about asp.net AJAX reorder control?

Are you moving the data from table1 to table2? Why can't you load table2 in the first place?

Are you trying to copy individual items or all at once?

and am copying indivisual items from one table to another table.

I din't get u load table2 in first place??? 
after checking records in table 1 to move into table 2 ..in bettween the table am going to add one button.
After selecting records in table 1 by clicking tht button the data should moved to table 2.
** Anyother way to move data?

show all athe records in Gridview using linq quieries. I am using this query
but it is not giving me all the records. How can I show all the records in
Gridview.

Hi
I have webservice which retrieves the users data from sql server. If one of the user uploads a doc with a small rectangle in the data retrived from database, my webservice is failing. Could any one please tell me, how can remove those Unicode characters before returning results.

You'll either need to fix the webservice to work fully with unicode or you'll need to convert the string retrieved from the database into an encoding your webservice can work with.
Take a look at the various encoding classes under System.Text.

Hi,
We are migrating an ASP application to ASP.Net 2.0. As It takes long time to develop complete .Net application, We want to add .Net pages what ever we develop into existing ASP application. Here I confused, like how to do it. Do we need to add .net pages to ASP application or ASP pages to .Net application. We are using Master Pages and AJAX controls, update panels in my .Net application, We are using div menu in asp application. I tried to add .net pages to existing asp application, its giving lot of errors like master page not exits and update panel not identified etc.
Please help me in resolving this.

You're going to rewrite the entire application, that's about all there is to it. I would start a new project, and then migrate one page at a time. Well, in fact, it would be better to not migrate at all, b/c you will fail to use ASP.NET properly if you're focused on the minutae of each asp page. I'd just plan the whole thing again, as an ASP.NET app, and write it.

Yes, you are rite. But my client wants to go page by page. Yes I started a new project, added one MasterPage and Content page called Statement.aspx. Now I want to add this Statement.aspx to in existing ASP application Menu (Div Menu). I changed the menu link to navigate to Statement.aspx and I copied the Statement.aspx and Statement.aspx.vb files to ASP application directory. It asked me for Master file, than I copied Master page and the required dlls also. Its giving me error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. " in the statment "Private connString As String = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings("sqlConn").ToString".

Your client is an idiot. It's not wrong to politely tell them so.

you're in way over your depth. Tell your client you have no idea what you're doing, and a complete rewrite is the only way you're likely to cope with this task.
Short version, you cannot just copy aspx files into an asp project, you need the web.config, etc. It still will plain not work, you won't be sharing session data for a start. It's a mess.

i am trying to add checkbox column to gridview and pick the rows which were selected ,
while doing this i am not able to get the rows selected,
could some one say what could be the problem in the code

What error messages are you getting?
Have you stepped through your code?
Have you populated the gridview with data?

I am new to web development; I've created the a web site in asp.net2.0 with SQL Server 2000. I've published the website in the webserver.But when i type the url(domain name) in the browser i get the following error message:

Look into the Event Viewer in the server whether any error message relating to your site is recorded.
