Marc Firth6-May-09 23:04 Marc Firth 6-May-09 23:04  I've not used joomla - but the usual routine is copy all web pages into the new document root (htdocs or wwwroot etc), copy database across (best way is to export import if possible) and edit the config file with the local addresss (http://localhost/), your new database settings (host, username, password). If you don't have a local server, and joomla is php (which I think it is) then I suggest getting something like XAMPP to let you work on and test the site locally. Its supposed to be a basic tutorial n article resource website. But the problem is almost all my articles and tutorials are text files. its almost 1000+ of them. So can anybody please help me to create/get a code for displaying the text files in the webpage. Let the textfiles are located in a folder called "tuts". My idea is to create a frame and when 1 click on the name of the text file (let the text files names be on the right / left side of web page) the text file is displayed in that frame. Or if there is better way to imply this its also welcome.Of course the coders name n his preferred "one link" will be given in my website. Please Help me.
