I want to check the session variable when the form is unload. I write the code like this.

function del()
{
alert(Session["nam"]);
}

But the unload event is not trigerring. Whats the fault in this code?

Erm, I think you have to pass the TextBox1's value, surely, and not the whole control?
I might be wrong, but that's what i gathered from the del(txt)function.

var question = (_2b || !(_2b));

onmousedown="del(this.text)"

That would work, if the button he was clicking, was also the textbox he entered text into.

Hi folks,

I am developing the web site in asp.net 2.0 with c#. Suppose there is registration page and when some one clicks on the submit button then that page is block and system display the "please wait..page is loading" (image) before redirecting to the next page. Page block means that user will not be able to do anything else in between the process. I need the code for this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not really an ASP.NET question anymore. And no, I don't have the code to do this on hand, b/c it's complex. Whatever process you want to do on the back end, is what you need to do in an AJAX call, or a series of calls, which will allow you to show a progress bar and/or redirect when it's done.

An AJAX Modal PopUp blocker would serve the purpose. Or else you can write your own javascript to set the page Opacity also...

I'm expecting the OP to get the AJAX extension library added, and do the necessary changes in the web.config and all the remaining stuff if in case he wants to use the AJAX control.

hi, i have a calendar control in my .aspx file. every time i select a date from the calendar control, the whole page is getting refreshed. i am displaying the selected date from calendar to a text box. how can i stop it from refreshing the whole page?

Use Ajax Update Panel in your page to avoid Whole page refresh

That's way overkill. The control can be set to not postback at ALL, and he doesn't need it to contact the server, so why does he need AJAX ?

I want to refresh a page on an image click, actually the same page. So I did this,

<img id="Img2" onclick="javascript:location.reload(true)" runat="server" style="display: none" action="save" title="Save" src="~/images/save.gif" alt="Save" />

But it didn't work, can some one comment on this.
