Hi guyz i have used script manager & update panel in my page...
i am getting error as:
Error 126 The type or namespace name 'ScriptManager' does not exist in the namespace 'System.Web.UI' (are you missing an assembly reference?)
Error 127 The type or namespace name 'UpdatePanel' does not exist in the namespace 'System.Web.UI' (are you missing an assembly reference?)
What kind of assembly referencei have to include in web.config file,
plz give me the set of lines have to include in that config file...,
I included web.extension assembly refrence eventhough i am egtting this error...,
Plz tell me to solve this error...,

Hi,
I used encrypt method by using "RsaProtectedConfigurationProvider" in asp.net 2.0
and it encrypt my web connection string and works fine in my local server except this error:
The 'RsaProtectedConfigurationProvider' attribute is not declared

my page is running one store procedure in back end it take at least 15 to 30 minutes to complete execution. but my page show time out error and i had expand my connection time out and command time out and AsyncTimeout="36000".
but the problem is not fixed.
Really i need things my page should only execute the store procedure i dont want to know about the whether it has been complete or not.
My code is going to generate (insert) 100 million records in database table.its one kind of game logic we are using in our game website.
i dont want to wait for such much time, until the execution of my query,i just want to execute it.
any idea on this ????

Hi,
First you should specify which type of query u executed in stored procedure, like as retreive more than 2000 records from ur query. so it will take so much time

actually your page expires out... It would be better to create a separate process that may run your stored procedure, if you dont need any result from it...
You can also use WCF for doing this ... if you need.

What Exactly is your SP doing if it takes this long?
To have an infinite timeout Option set your Command object to zero. You need to Optimize your sp.

Really that is too heavy for a Web page.
Does your users interact with your page? ,or this is some admin thing that you do it at certain time ? . If that's the case,I suggest you create an SSIS package and leave the web page out of this.

Your stored proc sucks. Fix it. We have a SQL forum. You think the timeout is the issue ? No-one is waiting 30 min for a web page.

Hi All,
I am working in Web Development Firm. We have client name MSN India. When ever anyone open in.msn.com page from all over the world three banners are loading on the every page. Some of them are serving from our Richmedia server. Msn tracking how many times our banner runs on MSN Portal and we also the same thing. But the report is showing different no. Normally when any banner(Flash) running on msn it is calling our one page name getbase.aspx we are simply inserting into one temporary table. After some specific interval we are running job which will check the detail and find the location and update or insert into the master table from where we are generating reports. Our DB Admin is telling our DB server has capacity to open 42k connection / 1Sec. And when any one banner is running on high priority then it will send 150 to 200 request / 1sec. Then also we are not getting same reports due to timeout expired. Is there any other possible way to reduce the load on db server? So we can stop timeout? It’s very urgent. If any sample code can you put it will be acceptable.

I have a datalist which has a label in the template header. The label's visibility is false initially.
After that I have the ItemTemplate
It contains a label for a date which has visible = false initially
after that I have a linkbutton for a category name.
So when the page loads it will list categories vertically header = false, date= false.
Each category is click able.
When the user clicks on a category the category name will show in the header. The label's visibility in the header is set to true. Below it will be the subcategories. The label for sub category date visibility = true and the link button is replaced with clickable sub categories instead of the main categories.
How can I achieve this functionality?
I would appreciate as many details as possible to achieve this.

Hi,
I have a DropDownList and a ajax UpdatePanel which having MultiView with 3 View inside the MultiView.
When i select any list from the DropDownList, different view will appear.
If i set ddl_price.SelectedItem.Value; from the code-behind, the UpdatePanel will not work because in html source code, the DropDownList will write "selected".
Is there anyway to not write "selected" in html when ddl_price.SelectedItem.Value; assigned? Or is there anyway to make the ajax UpdatePanel works?
