Visual Studio has a control called CrystalReportViewer that you can put on the page.In the properties for that control you will be able to browse to the location where you have .rpt files.

I have an option for export to excel in my webpage.When i click on that button, the save dialogbox appears but it remains hidden behind the webpage. So one have to minimize in order to enter filename and path.How can i put the dialogbox on top.

Thanks for the reply,but the actual problem is i have the xml file in the same folder and that will be expanded sometimes.If that is the condition i have to change the code every time.To avoid that what i can do?.And in this solution when i am clicking the combobox in the second time it is getting duplicated.I can add the values in another way without duplicating like this

one condition is there, suppose

Hi all,
i have multiple update panels with buttons .i open a popup which is a new page when i click on the button using javascript code.All update panels open the same popup.I need to update the parent which opened this popup once i close the popup.I also know how to refresh the update panel when i close the popup
What i was unable to find out is how to find out which button(which ) has opened this popup.so that i can update that specific update panel
The sample code is shown below

Did you try passing the div id in the method showpopup

able to fix the same thanks a lot sundar.
my approach was
1)i pass the div id which opens the page using querystring url
2)raise a method in parent from popup to execute and pass this divid (which i read from querystring using javascript code) and use it to refresh the parent update panel
3)the method in parent has code to refresh the respective update panel passed as parameter to it.

Sometimes we get problems like "Invalid postback or callback argument"

Hi,
I am using a regular expression validator to validate my email textbox but I was wondering if there is an expression that allows only a certain domain. This is what I'm using so far:

This works, but it allows any @abc.com and I only want to allow a specific address (i.e. only allow @yahoo.com).I'm using asp.net and c#.

I would try the Telerik reporting tool. Because if you get stuck, you can post some questions on Telerik's site and they will help you out.

Yeah, I think I'm going with it. I was looking at the Infragistics grid, but it's a bit heavyweight and twice the price. I just wonder how these people can make such awkward designers. People that complain about Microsoft's designers in Visual Studio don't seem to use many other designers.

I believe using Telerik control will be a better idea as Telerik controls have more features. Based on the documentation and their examples, learning Telerik controls give you much better presentation as well.

If you are developing against MS-SQL server, why not consider SQL Server Reporting ? No extra charge if you alreay have MS-SQL server. My 2 cents.
