No, it won't. At best, you'll get better performance out of the pages that are already cached and NOT updated. But, you're bottleneck is STILL going to be that horrible little ADSL line. There's just nothing you can do to improve the speed of that connection without replacing it without something faster, like a cable modem, T1 or T3 line.

I planned to use ISA and use the feature of content downloader, will this feature help to improve the performance of the internet connection for user?

What did I just say?? NOTHING you do, short of replacing your connection to the Internet, will improve any download speeds. You will get an apparent performance increase if you use a caching server, but you will see NO increase in performance for stuff that ahs not been previously downloaded and stuff who's cache time has expired.

Ok, one more question related to internet connection speed. I have connect with the comapny with ADSL speed 128 Kb but when I download the file I found the download speed is remain to only 20Kb. So why the speed is reduce like this? Thank

The 128K is the theoretical top speed of the connection between your modem and the ISP. It does not take into consideration the DSL line quality, the quality and workload of other links between routers in your ISP's network that you may be using (without knowing it), nor does it take into account Internet router workload, link quality, numbers of hop, the sending server's network condition and load, server sending speed, the workload on the sending server, your machine's workload, the phase of the moon, ...

I have DELL LATITUDE D810. I did formatting. I installed WinXP SP3.
I installed all the drivers and when checking them in the "Device Manager" , all drivers seen to be installed.
But the network card and the wireless icon never shows in the end of the toolbar near the clock and date.
Also when i goto "View Network Connections" nothing found (not the network card nor the wireless icon).
When i click refresh (F5 button) a windows shows and says the following: " The Network Connections Folder was unable to retrieve the list of network adapters on your machine.
Please make sure that the Network Connections service is enabled and running."
I get to Services through Services and Applications, and started the service "Network Connections".
Going back to "View Network connections" , i can see the network card and wireless icons. when i restart the laptop, EVERY THING GOES BACK AS IT WAS BEFORE. No network card and wireless icon.
ANY HELP.

I have developed an application with multi language support, in which I am using CHOOSECOLOR structure and custom dialog to display colordialog. The issue is that the dialog is comming only in english when I change to other language. But it is present in all other language resource dlls. Can any one suggest some solutions how I can debug this issue.

Hey Guys,
When I insert an incorrect domain then I get a 404 error page.
If I have google toolbar installed then it offers me a search option.
I am interested in neither. I want to set the domain that my internet explorer goes to if I visit a domain that does not exist.
Does anyone have a clue how this can be acheived?

If I go to internet explorer and try to visit the following domain:
www.afajsoifjaoigjasodjodsifjosaijfdsadfk.com
I get a 404 error page that the domain does not exist.
If I have the goolgetoolbar installed then google offers me to search there search engine and also suggests other domain names that do exist.
I want to know how this is done? Can I set another domain name that internet explorer goes to if the domain does not exist?

I was looking at Windows Updates and saw that the XP sp3 (has been) out. How long and is it safe/reliable to install?

It's out since half a year and I would say it's safe. I have updated 50 computers without problems.
Standard precautions, such as a backup, apply as always.

I know it sounds weired, but when I build and install XPe, it does not contain "shutdown.exe". Where can I find it from the component list?

AFAIK, it does come with XPe. Under other versions of Windows, it's normally found under the system32 folder.
Or, you could just download it[^]...

I knew it would be deployed in "System32", but my XPe does not have it. BTY, I built and deployed my own XPe. Everytime I need to manually grab it from another XP (not XPe!!!) installation.
