Hi All,
I want to localize my VB6 application, but when I enter Chinese text into resource file it displays as '????'. I've done this in VB.net (except MSFlexgrid) and it works fine. If anyone has small application of this type then please post it.

Hi All,
In my application, I want to show the chinese text in Grid cells. I've taken resource file for that. But when I run app. it shows '????' in place of chinese text. Anybody has come accross such problem then please suggest the solution. For other controls such as Labels, frames etc. it works fine.

I am using the "Microsoft VBScript Regular Expressions 5.5" COM object in
VB6SP5 to search for a list of numbers in a CSV string (loaded from a file)
that is made up of 2-digit zero-filled numbers. The CSV string could contain
thousands of values.
Someone on vbforums.com posted some code that demonstrated an API method for
finding a string in a file very quickly. It did this by first reading the
file into memory. Someone else responded to the post with an even quicker API
method (Merri's API Method) that removed the need for any Unicode-to-Ansi
string conversion. Merri's API Method is significantly faster on large files
though not so much on the sample data file included in my test project that
can be downloaded from here.
The code I have put together so far runs both methods successfully for
simple search strings but only the slower API method, which includes the
Unicode-to-Ansi conversion, is successful in returning regular expression
matches.
If you run the code you will see a drop-down list containing three sample
search strings, one simple string and two regular expressions which you can
run both API methods against. The results for each method are shown
separately.
I would like to make use of Merri's API Method to perform regular expression
searches on the file without the overhead of any Unicode-to-Ansi conversion
on the file data itself. However, I will need to do the conversion on the
actual matches found so that I can process them further. I think this will
involve the use of pointers which I'm not familiar with. The function that
performs the regular expression search and produces the match collection is
called TestRegExp.

VB6 is long dead, few people use it, and those that do, mostly shouldn't. If you want to attract the few people who still use or know VB6, you should put VB6 in your subject line, so people see it.

I am working on Steganography...Actually I am opening the picture in the buffor and then converting text into bytes and finally append this byte code back to image.......The problem is this some body told me that any body can hack data from buffor,but I dont know how a some one can open buffor and from buffor can hack my data...Please tell me how I can See my data In buffor during Steganography....?

Sounds like you're surrounded by idiots. If the buffer is memory in your app, it's far from trivial for someone to get at it. If it's in a file, then, of course, any file can be modified by anyone who wants to. What does your app do that you have to worry about such security ? The easy way around is to store a checksum to validate the bytes against.

Really? Find that kind of hard to believe. If the buffer is stored as private, then nothing should be able to see it.

Stenography is not "hiding your data on the end of an image file". Stenography is doing things like twiddling the least significant bits in an image to hide information - actually hiding the data *in* the image.
Also, yes, people can get access to your processes' memory and read the contents of your buffer.
In your case they will just cat the picture file to the console and read the plaintext.

I have made some program that will be used to update the sql server database. The data was taken from Access Database. In other words, i tried to move the data from Access to Sql server. Here is the code that i developed :

when i compiled it, nothing was error, all worked fine. But the problem is nothing happened to the sql server database when i executed this program. Nothing was updated in the sql server database. What could make it wrong or why didn't something happen??. is it because the code or another else?

You propably have some problem in the logic (loops or if statements) so the best way to find it is to use debugger.
Only thing I noticed is that the outer loop is made against SQL Server. You loop while there are records in T3B_MON in SQL Server. If you're moving data to SQL Server, rsSql may be empty so EOF is true. Also you don't seem to use rsSQL2 anywhere.
