Have a look at this article:
CRulerRichEditCtrl - a complete RTF mini-editor [^] by Johan Rosengren (with a bit by me)
It shows using a toolbar and a rich edit to make different colour / fonts / sizes etc in a rich edit control.

I am working on an mfc application. In my application I have a dialog box which is having a IDC_EXPLORER1 ActiveX control for showing web pages.
The dialog box opens when i click a button.

What i want is that i want the dialog box such that it cannot be moved nor resized. also i want to change the size and position of dialog box during button click.

Kindly help me.

How can hide and show dailog Application?I have a button Hide and i am useing code for hide is ShowWindow( SW_HIDE );

Now i want to open this application again then new application is open and i want to open hide application.Or i want to show hide application. Plz elp me Rose | [Rose]

Thanks for reply But i don't want to show in system tray.My application is run in hidden mode and exe is showing on desktop.when user click on that exe then that hidden application will be show.Plz help me

The article contains exactly that info too, in addition to the system tray stuff. Skip the parts about the system tray and read how to make a single instance program.

When you run an instance of your exe, first you can check if another instance is running. If it is then make old instance visible and exit from the new instance.

Hi ,
My application basically contains a text box.

Once user presses a button, the data from the text box, should be added to an excel file.

Data should be appended..

Any solutions?

Erm, added where? Any cell number? Any work sheet?
Will you set a cell format?
Do you process how many active cells in a column there are, so your numnber can be added?

There are many questions for you to work out, before you dive in to the examples another poster just gave you.

Programming is all about being the whiny paranoid 6 year old saying "why?" and "what if?" all the time.

i tired one ag in msdn

datas need to be appended...i.e data should be keep on adding.

But in the example, the old datas get erased

there is also one paramter Saveas. It keeps on asking whenevr i add a data
Data should be added with out asking the question

Unlike other data files where you open them, go to the end, and start writing, Excel files must be told where (i.e., what cell) to put the data. How are you doing this?

Hi,
i want to display a tooltip when the mouse pointer is over a specific part of window.
I am using the following code

But the tooltip is not coming.

Call method EnableToolTips().
Capture message TTN_NEEDTEXT.
Add ON_NOTIFY_EX( TTN_NEEDTEXT, 0, OnToolTipNotify) in the message map and implement method OnToolTipNotify.
