Not really sure what you're asking - but if you want to understand the different ways of using/storing session state, I suggest you try Google - there are plenty of texts explaining them all.

I assume you tried Google? Must be failing where you live, here it returns pages of information. Even easier, I searched here on CP and found a complete article about its use and where to download it.
Try a little research for yourself before posting a question.

i have gridview and one of thats column are checkboxes. if i check the top of the check box all of the check boxes checked. but if i paging it and set it that show 5 items in each page just checked 5 checkboxes in first page . but i want all of the checkboxes checked in other pages too.

You most probably, you should create an event that updates the datasource for the GridView (particularly the field that is updated with the checkmark value) when you check mark your checkbox. Otherwise, it is not like the other pages exist. They are generated as you move from one page to the next - on demand.

Hi,
You have to maintain the gridview's data in a datatable which itself should be stored in a viewstate. If the requirement permits you then in checkbox's click event just maintain a flag in the datatable. Otherwise, do it in the PageIndexChanged event of the grid. But, you also need to check the actual row index of the datable which will be dependant to the Per Page data count and the row no. in the data page. Just check it.

I was wondering how I could draw in a Panel. If I create a Panel like
Panel panel = new Panel();
panel.Width = 1000;
panel.Height = 750;
this.Controls.Add(_panel);
In Windows Forms, I could call the PaintEvent but there is not PaintEvent in asp.net is there? So how do I draw lines and such on a web form? Also the Panel control in the windows forms has a location property but the Panel web control does not? Thanks

Anyone? I need to paint lines in a panel. Is this possible and how can I do it? For a windows from I would do something like:
Panel panel = new Panel();
panel.Paint += new PaintEventHandler(panel_Paint);
private void panel_Paint(object sender, PaintEventArgs e)
{
Graphics _g = e.Graphics;
Pen pen = new Pen(Color.Black);
_g.DrawLine(pen, 10, 10, 20, 20);
}
How can I draw in a Web Panel like this?

In the below code, what do i need to put in "stateConnectionString". What is the meaning of "stateConnectionString"? Can anyone provide solution for this one. Its urgent.
stateconnectionstring="tcpip=127.0.0.1:42424"
What do i need to place instead of "tcpip=127.0.0.1:42424" at stateConnectionString?

No one cares.
A quick search on Google [^] will answer your questions.

The thing is, for a typical application, you dont need to bother with this tcpip. Just let it be. Unless you are sure that based on what you are doing, this tcpip value needs to be changed. You could perhaps give some details.

Example Code: Here is my code. Can any one try this...its urgrnt.
<configuration>
<appsettings>
<add key="ConnectionString" value="server=MYServer;uid=sa;pwd=victory;database=Contacts" />
<add key="FirstDayOfWeek" value="1" />
</appsettings>
<system.web>
<compilation defaultlanguage="c#" debug="true" />
<customerrors mode="Off" />
<authentication mode="Windows" />
<trace enabled="false" requestlimit="10" pageoutput="false" tracemode="SortByTime" localonly="true" />
<sessionstate mode="InProc" stateconnectionstring="tcpip=127.0.0.1:42424" sqlconnectionstring="data source=MYServer;user id=sa;password=victory" cookieless="false" timeout="20" />
<globalization requestencoding="utf-8" responseencoding="utf-8" />
<xhtmlconformance mode="Legacy" /></system.web>
</configuration>
|
|
|
|
|
I see that you are using InProc to store state. The following will suffice in this case:
<sessionState mode="Inproc" cookieless="false" timeout="20"/>
You do not need the tcpip attribute
