I open a connection to the database on each event on my page
If I want to close this connection can I put it at the end of the each event even if its after a response.redirect line?

No. Close your connection before redirection. In fact, close your connection at the earliest possible moment - as soon as you have done what you need..

Hi All,
I am trying to develop an web application which displays charts to show represent different information. I am planning to use OWC(Office Web Component) in my .Net application. One of the requirement want to display doughnut/pie chart in such a way that each sector of pie chart must include much deeper detailed sectors (Pie Chart in Pie Chart).
Sample data could be like this
Product Sale Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4
CPU 38 5 15 10 8
KB 10 4 2 3 1
Mouse 13 2 6 1 4
Monitor 20 5 5 5 5
HD 25 6 4 8 6
DVD 20 5 3 7 5
Now here sale would be a main chart within which there will be a small chart with quarterlies sale for each product.
Can anyone please help me how can I draw this type of chart in my application or even just in MS Excel?

My problem is when i am usting update panel(ajax), tab index is not working, whether we need set any properties while using update panel, i can't understood what may be the reason.

event of each Page or base page pre render event

in place of ctrlWhichRaisedAsyncPostBack, what should i have to write, you mean i have to write controlId(am i Correct?)..

Hi All,
I am writing NUnit ASP automated tool for ASP.NET web application In which i have some controls (radio button) causing asynchronous postback
i have written below code for checking one of the radio buttons
RadioButtonTester rbtnCollPropAddressSame = new RadioButtonTester("ctl00_FormContentPlaceHolder_ContactInformation_rbYes");
rbtnCollPropAddressSame.Checked = true
Now issue is while testing the application using Nunit ASP
ScriptManager.IsInAsyncPostBack is showing false (when debug) causing error in the application.
Note: this error is not happening when we checked radio button in browser (working fine while testing manually)
Please let me know how to make asynchrous postback using Nunit ASP using any other extension. I knew AJAX and javascript is not supported by Nunit ASP. Is there any another tool to do the same. Please give me any tutorial url so that i can make use of it.

hello everyone..
please help me about this.
I have an application that requires cv loader... For example, I have a resume (in any format, txt or doc file), then when I upload it using vb/asp apllication or in any language and i need to get the name, address and contact number of the person that will be saved in an oracle database...
Is there someone who can give me some hint in creating this functionality

Hi all,
If I upload a file containing SMO Reference the following error comes:
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo, Version=9.0.242.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
The references I added are
Microsoft.sqlserver.connectioninfo
Microsoft.sqlserver.smo
Microsoft.sqlserver.smoenum
Microsoft.sqlserver.sqlenum
Is I have to explicitly place the SMO dll in the bin folder of the project? Please help me to rectify this problem.

Hi,
seems like you have to place them explicitly in the bin folder of the project (after upload). Are you sure that the Microsoft SQL Managment Objects are installed at the target server?

I don't know whether the target server contains SMO. If we install SMO dll in the target server, will it work well?. If we do like that there is no need to add the dll in the project. Am I right?

hmmm, if you install the smo dll in the target server (for example registering in the GAC) you don't have to copy the dll to the bin folder (think this only works if it is the correct assembly version)...
I think the best way is to install the SQL Server Managament (that's where the dll is coming from, am I right?). This will propably solve your problem (but you have the same problem for the next server...)

Are you going to deploy on that system ? or you want to development application.
AJAX is nothing to do with IIS.
if you are going to deploy , you can do one thing, just run aspnet_regiis -i command from VS Command Prompt. Hope this will resolve your problem
