hello all how do i draw aline between 2 buttons in asp.net
i am adding to my application tow buttons dynamicaly
and trieng to drow aline between them by bitmap
when i draw the line the buttond disapear
so what to do
your help please

Hello,
I have an application that creates a certain number of textbox controls (based on a number specified by a user) at runtime. I have the textboxes being created in the page_load method. I have created a another TextBox object to find the created controls and retrieve the text. I then pass the text to a string object. My issue is that when I try to retrieve the values inputted into the textboxes by a user, I receive an 'Object reference not set to instance'. I have provided code below. Any assistance will be great. Thanks in advance.

{
TextBox tb = ((TextBox)Page.FindControl("txtName" + (i+1).ToString())) as TextBox;
results += tb.Text //this is where error occurs.

Are you sure you have assigned IDs to these generated textboxes?

Hi,
I have written a loop to find the controls within the page and they have assigned ID's (as indicated by the output from the loop). Just can't get the values from them. ???

Actually, I have figured it out. I was referencing the Page class when I actually did not need to TextBox tb = ((TextBox)Page.FindControl("txtName" + (i+1).ToString())) as TextBox; I just removed it and now it works.

Hi There,
I'm just starting learning ASP.NET AJAX. I'm creating a web service to access in my ASP.NET AJAX application. But I don't get ref to System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService attribute in the webservice application. I'm using VS 2005 and installed ASP.NET AJAX 1.0. Don't know what I'm missing. Could you guys help me find this?

hi frnds,
I am trying to achieve Export to Excel control with .net framework 2.0. I could find lots of samples on web for that. But what I need is a User or custom control with button to do this functionality.
The control available are only for 1.1 and other samples dont work as controls.
Now I tried using one of the sample here[^] as control. But I am facing issue with VerifyRenderingInServerForm which is not available in a user control.
Any suggestions?? Any tried this before??

Hi, i have created a report which using two tables Category and Product

Sub Report Fields
Product Name Product Price Company Name
Olper Rs.45 Lever Brothers

i want to show a Total amount of each product but when i calculate total then it appreas in front of every record like
Product Name Product Price Company Name Total
Olper Rs.45 Lever Brothers Rs.93
Haleeb Rs.48 Haleeb Private Limited Rs.93
will any one help me how i calculate total in sub report which appears once like
Product Name Product Price Company Name
Olper Rs.45 Lever Brothers

1) Using the imperative in the subject is not going to get you help. You can't order people to help you unless you pay them. Even then over use of barked orders won't get you far.
2) What reporting tool? You didn't say, ergo no one can easily help you.
3) From what I can glean from you post, you need to put them in the footer, not the body.

I try to write a java script function in the web content form
but i got this error when runing the application:

You are trying to a function to the mark up in aspx. Try using serverside code.
Control.Attributes.Add("event", "jsMethod");

i create a virtual directory for Test(project name), and set the websharing for that project , i configure virtual directory
in asp.net startoption property,when run the project first default page run virtual directory but the second page run port number
fist default page run
htt://localhost/Demo/default.aspx
second file run
http://localhost:1090/Test/user.aspx
(run port number)

seems there is some thing mistake by you . because , in First case Virtual Directory name is Demo and Second case it is Test which is your project name, so i think this may be your existing running application from Visual Studio directly.
please confirm !!!!

I am using visual studio 2003.(Frame work 1.1). i have the database with my application.what i want is while making the setup,i want to include the database too.(so that while installing the web set up,i need not to install database seperately)...any idea??

I have a sentence like:
"This is a test."
I have put that in a string
I have managed to split this string down to the first word but I am not sure how to get just the first 3 letters of the first word.
any help would be great.
