Hi Hemant,
I think that you are filling the datatable directly from the excel. and your first value in excel is numeric. that's why this problem is occured.
Try this one.
first you create columns of datatable, which you want to fill. make sure that column's datatype is string. and then try to fill it.

Thaks dilip_rollwala,
I change the first value to alphanumetic and it works.
But I cant create columns of datatable first.

..and if you looked at the link in the reply it shows you how to get all sorts of data back.
Just take the code from the link, run in debug mode and look at all the properties available.

what does it mean ? you want to retreive user password from AD.
i think this is not possible, you can use password only for Authentication purpose and you can Reset it.

I think you need to look at some beginners articles on how asp.net works before you go any further.

Mind telling us what you are looking for then? I mean its one thing to ask people to STFW for you, but without giving us too much of a clue what you're after, its a little hard.

i browsed through some asp.net sites (for eg: kixclusive.com).
in this site I noticed that the name of the page and the name of the product which the pages is displaying are same.
I think its that they have created which has the basic info that needs to be displayed and they are just passing the values. the pages is created at runtime and displayed.
i just wanted to know how is this done in asp.net 2.0.
here in code project too. the article pages are named after the name of article like http://www.codeproject.com/KB/webforms/GridViewRedux.aspx[^]

localhost is the webserver.
login.aspx is your webpage.
Have you ever seen a address like www.google.login.aspx
Well, your address should be something like http://localhost/[name of your virtual directory[^]]/login.aspx

This is because you are not running this site under IIS but the virtual web server of Visual Studio.
localhost:43416 shows that it is not running under IIS.
