It doesn't actually dump the password, it only displays the password hash (encrypted p/w) in a UNIX like style. I have successfully resized NTFS partitions under NT/2K on multiple machines using Partition Magic 6. I created the Boot Floppies from the CD and then (obviously) boot from them and off I went. It all worked perfectly, but that doesn't mean you won't have problems.
