Hai,
currently i m using .net 2005 and sql server 2000.
I had a new project and i need some suggestions from you Code project users.
Here, i need to develop an application which will capture what are all the opened application through means of my project and its usage time.
i.e., in my application i give links to open IE,MS-WORD,NOTEPAD and MS-PAINT. the users may work the IE application some time and keep in idle. then he may use the notepad for sometime. then he will us MS-PAINT for sometime. At day end, i have to capture how much timings user spent in particular application......
i.e.,
MS-PAINT : 5 hours, 10 min.
IE : 3 hours, 5 min.
MS-WORD : 6 hours, 34 min.
NOTEPAD : 2 hours, 33 min.
How to process this and what are all the concepts i have to review. THIS IS AN CHALLENGING PROJECT TO ME... help me Pals! (want to develop in C#(webform or windows application)

hello everybody.
I have a little problem.
I have a page, inside a page I have used gridview.Gridview contains , textbox and two level. I have used custom validator for the textbox and a label to display the message if the textbox contain no string.
at the same page i used check box but it is not inside the grid.
I have grouped the validation to checkbox.
at the top of the page there is a dropdownbox. On selectedIndexChanged event the gridview content is changed.
The problem is, I works fine ie it will display the error message if the textbox is blank for the first index of the dropdownbox, but it doesnot work for other index of the dropdownbox.

You could store all the smses in a database table and then use Windows Service to send them at an interval.

Its very simple ... Just you need a timer on your windows service to call that process in periods.
try searching google.. on how to create Windows service.
I think you can send the sms data in database easily..

Hi friend,
This is kind of a server certificate problem.The server certificate has been used to identify the origianl server over ssl/tls.If its invalid either in the client / server end this may happen.
SSL/TLS is nothing but a protocols.we can identify the origianl server after the server has passed its certificate sometimes client certificates too.This certificate has been provied by Certificate providers like versign.

in start-->program files-->microsoft sql server--> configurtion tools-->
reporting server configuration.
in report server virtual directory --> uncheck the require secure socket layer (ssl) connections--> press apply
Try this.. I think it will solve the problem

Dear All,
I am using C# ,asp.net , sql server 2005.
In a web form I have to create From time and to time and to time should be greater then from time I created two textboxes and place the maskedit for time(24 hrs)
Now problem is how can I check or do client side validation for to time textbox as compare validator does not support time datatype.
If u have better approach please suggest.

use simple Javascript client side validation... That will solve .. I think

If the application is installed on the client side then,
The client should be able to design the page (himself) the format of the printing(Like: Rearranging ,Altering width and height the fields etc)
