QuestionASP.Net Default Provider Login and Registration help needed! Pin
Rob__Dean21-Aug-08 3:22
Rob__Dean21-Aug-08 3:22
I am coding an extension to the functionality of the ASP.Net default login provider. Using an extended url generated from a database of user e-mails the UserName field of the create user wizard is auto populated and verified against entries in a separate database.
The idea was to allow only those users who receive an email with their details to be able to register. It works fine, however the account cannot be created when the UserName textbox is readonly. If the box is set to readonly=false it works fine, but users can create any username they like and any number of accounts.

Does anyone know why if the UserName textbox of the create user wizard is readonly it will fail in creating the account?
What event is triggered when the create user button is clicked. As its part of a pre made control it is difficult to insert or change the code that runs, I presume it is part of the class library.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
