Hi,
I have a page that uses screen scrape a page (doesnt have an api) but need to do some customisation with this data. So i need to be able to pick out the data between '' & '' tags.
Im assuming the way to do this is via regualr expression (regex)? However im no Regex expert and am in need of some serious help.
If anyone could give me the expression i need, i will be able to work out the code required to apply it. Or even a good pointer would be of benefit.
Many Many Thanks.

Something like this?:
function getData()
{
var els = document.getElementsByTagName("option");
for(i=0;i<els.length;++i)>
}
}
Hope this helps,

Hi,
I have an XML file which is stored in a folder named XML and i have an RPT file (stored in CrystalReports folder) which has been designed by using this XML file as datasource. The report works fine in my local machine. But, when released in the server it is not working, it is giving the message like "Database logon failed".
My Code behind,
repDoc = New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
repDoc.Load(Server.MapPath("~/Reports/CrystalReport/MyReport.rpt"), CrystalDecisions.Shared.OpenReportMethod.OpenReportByDefault)
repDoc.SetDataSource(Server.MapPath("~/Reports/XML/MyXML.xml"))
CrystalReportSource.Report.FileName = Server.MapPath("~/Reports/CrystalReport/MyReport.rpt")
Do anyone know why it is not working.
Regards

Hi I have the same problem.
But I pass the crediential to the report at run time
Code:
Dim myFields As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ParameterFieldDefinitions
Dim thisField As CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ParameterFieldDefinition
Dim myValue As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue
Dim my_Param_Name As String
Dim my_Param_Kind As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterValueKind
Dim crCurrentValues As CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterValues
Dim _report As New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
_report = New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument
_report.Load(Server.MapPath("~/Report/Extraction_Event.rpt"))
_report.SetDatabaseLogon("XXX_USER_NAME", "XXX_PASSWORD", "SERVERNAME", "DATABASENAME")
myFields = _report.DataDefinition.ParameterFields
For Each thisField In myFields
myValue = New CrystalDecisions.Shared.ParameterDiscreteValue
my_Param_Name = "_GUID" 'thisField.ParameterFieldName
my_Param_Kind = thisField.ParameterValueKind
myValue.Value = Session("_GUID").ToString '"" _DTParameter.Rows(i).Item(1)
crCurrentValues = thisField.CurrentValues
crCurrentValues.Add(myValue)
thisField.ApplyCurrentValues(crCurrentValues)
Next
CrystalReportViewer1.EnableDatabaseLogonPrompt = False
CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = _report
End Sub

General advice is......
Design for Firefox and then it will usually work in both.
Other than that, the only advice i can give is start the design again.

I am using IIS 5.0. Now ,in case of any error, internal IP or server name gets displayed in the address bar. I want to get rid of that. I have searched on net to find following command:
adsutil set w3svc/UseHostName True
If anyone has used this command, could you please tell if it helps.
I am not trying to use it myself as MS says "Use the Adsutil.vbs file at your own risk."
Another option that I have is to switch to higher version of IIS. But thats going to take time and I want to fix it soon.

Yes, it is. I'm not sure why you disagree... do you not understand how cookies work? Or do you not understand how URLs work? Or are you looking for some other reliable means of maintaining state over HTTP...?

As the title suggests, I am looking for a way to limit the downloading of a file to one per IP address. The company I work for wants to put a coupon on our site, but restrict it to one per customer. The easiest way to do that in my opinion is to restrict the coupon to one per IP address. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to accomplish this??
Thanks!
Matt

Just a note, but an IP address is not a unique identifier. IPs can be shared and can be dynamic. A company, for example, may have hundreds of computers but only one external IP address. ISPs typically also dynamically assign IPs as and when someone goes online. It would be very easy to download a file, disconnect from your ISP, reconnect, and download it again - hey presto a new IP!
You would be better off generating a coupon. When someone downloads a file they do so using the coupon as part of the request, fed through a download script:
http://mysite.com/downloader?coupon=JKJDSH3
Your 'downloader' script can check to see if the coupon exists, and expire it after being used.

Not web dev in any way shape or form.
Also, if you wish to receive anything approaching a useful answer, you may want to put a bit more thought into your question...

I am redirecting database output to MS Power Point 2003 using response.contenttype which is working fine. My question is how to dynamically create a new power point slide for each selected record of the database. Currently one power point slide is created and the font is adjusted so that all of your output goes onto one slide.

Sounds to me like you've got the web bit nailed - your question is about Powerpoint... Unfortunately, you're looking in the wrong place.
