get date from database using vc++

With MFC:

int iItem = 5;
CString szItem;
szItem.Format(_T("%d"),iItem);
listBox.AddString(szItem);

Plain Win32:

INT iItem = 5;
TCHAR szItem[32];
_stprintf(szItem, _T("%d"), iItem);
SendMessage(hWndListBox, LB_ADDSTRING, 0, (LPARAM) szItem);

i have connect ms access with vc++
i know how to get text from ms database
i dont know how get date from database and change its formate

i usee the below code to fill black colour inside an ellipse..
i need to know how to fill the ellipse with different colour.
pDC->SelectStockObject(BLACK_BRUSH);
pDC->Ellipse(CRect(0,0,100,120));

You have create the region of the ellipse dimension.
Crgn rgn;
rgn.BeginPath()
pDC->Ellipse(CRect(0,0,100,120));
rgn.EndPath()
rgn.CreateRgnFromPath();
rgn.FillColor(RGB(255,255,255));

check the CreateRgnFromPath

If none of the stock brushes fits your needs you've to create a new brush, for instance:

CBrush redBrush(RGB(255,0,0)); // create your new, red brush
CBrush *pOldBrush;
pOldBrush = pDC->SelectObject(&redBrush);
pDC->Ellipse(CRect(0,0,100,120));
pDC->SelectObject(pOldBrush);
