i have a mater page and i create all menu in a href link (all in td tag) which open a new page. when i click like home then i want use java script on onclick event of that link a background image of td is changed.

i want to know i use javascript for master page control like i made a table for my menu box and there i show a href link and i want that when user click on link like home then home should be look like clicked means there will be a image in background of that a href and all not have that image but when that menu is called then there will be a image.

However, I don't really think that this really is what you meant. It doesn't make much sense to have a menu that doesn't do anything other than change it's apperance.

As I expected, this is not at all what you asked for first, and Javascript is not the solution.
Add runat="server" and an ID to the table cells so that you can access them from server code. In the code behind of the master page check what page you are on (Page.Url) and set the background on the corresponding cell.

hello,
i have a form and there i received xml and mime type file which is a picture and picture type may be jpeg, png or other type. i want to convert all xml through parsing but now i would like to convert that picture in original format how can i do this with asp.net using c#.

u can add the connection strings in web.config in appsettings tag.

Calling this connection string in .cs file
SqlConnection dbConn;
String ConnectionString = System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["constr"];
dbConn=new SqlConnection(ConnectionString);
dbConn.Open();

iam unable to get full File path using Fileupload control
i used,
string str = Fileupload1.PostedFile.FileName;
and also
string str = Fileupload1.FileName; etc
using this i can only get the filename, Please Help me

Here is how you can upload a file using the FileUploader.
string sImageToSavePath = @"c:\inetpub\wwwroot\MySample\img\bb.gif"; //Give a path and a file name
byte[] ba = FileUpload1.FileBytes;
File.WriteAllBytes(sImageToSavePath,ba);

we are giving the path by our self.
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\MySample\img\bb.gif
but i need the path what the clients will open to upload the file using
fileupload control
ex: in my system i use to open the file which is at D:\\Bharani\\Folder1\\...file.xml
other can open in his own path i need to track that user selected path
is it possible.

You can get the full path using javascript.
document.getElementById('FileUpload1').value
so store it in a hidden field for later use.

Hi...
I want horizontal scroll bar in Listbox. For that i am using following code.

It gives me horizontal scroll bar. But it truncates some portion of text. The whole text is stored in database but whole isn't reflected here. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem.
eg. The text stored in database is 'testing by needhi', den it shows only 'testing by ne'.
Plz help. Its urgent..
