If you know how many gridview columns there are why not put it in the gridview in the front end code i.e.
<ItemStyle Width="10%" />

i know how many columns and same time i dont like to use databound columns...,
Thats y i said its auto generate columns..,.,
Anyway if u give bound column also its not at all considering...,
Its considering only grid view width...,
according to that its taking its own space for columns

I am using VS 2008 as IDE and developed web application. I am putting all the messages shown to the users in a resx file in App_GlobalResources/App_LocalResources directory. I am unable to access the resource using,
Resources.TooltipResource.MNT_CLIENT_SELECT
which is previously working fine with Website (project type).
Can anyone help me to fix this problem?

The problem is solved.
Previously I created under App_LocalResources and then drag dropped it into the App_GlobalResources. I removed it and created new in App_GlobalResources. Now I am able to access it.

What does 'not working' mean ? What happens ? Is the gridview HTML encoding your text ?

It is giving output like this.

but I want "Resources12256$Test Resources56 is not found" in RED color. in GridView

OK, so it's HTML encoding it. The problem is you can't do this at the level of the data row, you have to do it at the level of the template in the gridview. You need to add code to the template that makes it red if you want it to be red.

hai,
currently i m using asp.net with c# (.net 2005, 2.0 framework).
here i m trying to merge two dataset column wise
for example, i use two dataset ds1 and ds2.
ds1 contains A,B,C,D column.
ds2 contains E,F,G,H,I,J column.
i need the resultant in gridview as A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J

First of all, this is not an ASP.NET question. Second, you've been asking it for days. If you're incapable of understanding the answers, and unable to ask for more info, you should abandon your project, and perhaps your career.
Third, this is not possible. What ties A-D with E-J ? Nothing from what you've said. So what defines what goes in the one row ? If it's just row by row, well, how bizarre, but OK. Just create a new table in code with rows A-J, iterate over your two tables and copy the values in. If they DO have a common key, try taking the advice you've already been given ( although I think it makes most sense to just ask the data layer for the data in the format you need it in ), instead of asking over and over. That's just plain rude.

We are developping a Web Application using Asp.Net. We need to find out the IP number of a client running the Web Browser on a remote desktop connection. In other words, this user opens a Remote Desktop Connection on another remote server and runs the WebBrowser on this remote server, and we need actually the IP number of this user OWN machine.
In fact we could get the user client IP easily using the statement "HttpContext.Current.Request.UserHostAddress, but this brings us, naturally, the IP number of the machine on which the RDP connection has been opened.
What we need is possible? How to to it?

Please don't cross post. No way an ASP.NET app can cause te browser to work out it's running in a remote desktop, find the host IP and send it back to you.

I don't understand the question ? The webmethod attribute marks a method as being visible to the outside world, AFAIK.

You could use a panel for this, put your first four questions in a panel and your last one in a seperate panel and just make visible/invisible when you need to.
