You don't need to use AND, OR etc but, when you put in search terms, there is an implicit assumption that you are using AND between your terms so we put these in to make it clear. Showing exactly what your query is actually doing also means that if you use our more advanced features such as parentheses and multiple AND/ORs then it's clear as to what our system is interpreting your query as.

If I search for XEmph I get no results, but searching for XEmphasisButton finds the article. Would it be possible to return the results based on a match of however many characters you enter?

Unfortunately we can't. We're using a full text index to keep the speed of the searches useful so partial words aren't indexed and won't be returned.

Search page, '#' letter.

I try search "marshal AND C#" in the Search page.
It work in the first result page, but if I click
'Next', or event '3' page, sometime the result
is wrong.

I check the search text-box, and seems the '#' letter
is disappear in the following page.

This is correct and is because we cache messages to reduce the load on the database servers. If you modify a post then the cache for the particular server you are on is invalidated and refreshed, but the other servers will not have the change propogated until either someone adds/removes a post, or 5 mins later, whichever is sooner.

The message IDs are different meaning multiple posts.

Looks like he was either drunk, temporarily insane, or was experiencing site difficulties.

The last two are double indented and threaded in reply to the wrong post. That seems to rule out a user end error.

Yeah, there's an option for it - you just post a reply to yourself, then delete the parent before the reply has a chance to propagate to the server you're talking to. Or something like that; i've made it happen before, but never reliably.

When an article is marked as moved, the only way to update it is to send an email to editors. Is it not possible to still have the wizard just for file uploads?

It takes longer to fix bugs and downgrades quality of articles for a while. I know it's my mistake to have bugs in first place, but I deserve having one more chance, don't I? Big Grin | :-D

That's good to let article content be upgraded just by editors, but attached demos and sources are another story IMHO.
