Hi,
I would like to have an ifram to reload every 5 seconds and auto scroll down to the bottom of the iframe.
Here is my problem:
I build many applications for my 100+ developers. They come into my website and request for a build. At the time of the build they want to see build log. I save the build log to a file, say, app.release.build.log. I want to show this log file to the developer in real time. I can load the file int an iframe but due to my limited knowledge, I don't know how to reload the page every 5 seconds and scroll down to the bottom of the page. It's sort of tail -f concept.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks much.

What are the options for composing an email that contains graphics and hyperlinks without being too large? My thoughts are to use Word and the Save as Web Page option and then set the email to be of type HTML. I tried creating a Word Document and cutting and pasting it into an email - for a 1 page rather simple flyer it was 8MB. I used Print Screen and MSPaint and that made it much smaller, but doesn't allow for links. I want the content to be visible as soon as you open the email, without having to open an attachment. Is there an easier way? How does The Code Project do it?

This will create bloated HTML
Create your HTML using a HTML editor. Host any images in the email on your server and have the HTML in your email link to those images. When the recipient gets the email the images will most likely be blocked until they choose 'download images'. This is just the way of the world these days so take it into account.
You can also embed images in the email itself but
1. This can be a hassle
2. This will increase the email payload size
3. Will potentially make your email more likely to be marked as spam
4. Is unecessary if you are sensible about your use (and dis-use) of images

There's some piece to the puzzle I am missing.
I created some very simple HTML just using Notepad:

</html>
I started a new message in Outlook of type HTML.
If I said 'Include - File' it placed the file as an attachment.
If I cut and pasted the code, or typed it in directly, and sent it to myself, it came back with the tags still showing - not interpreting it as HTML. I receive other HTML emails as HTML, so I don't think it is the receive setting in Outlook.
My thought of using Word to create a web page didn't work either - similar problems.

This question is now about Outlook, not about sending newsletters through code.
Sending newsletters via code requires you create a HTML document and send it as an HTML email (whatever email component you use will allow you to specify the format - Text or HTML - that the email is to be sent as).
In Outlook compose an email, go to Options and set the format as HTML and then just start typing. The email is in HTML so don't include actual HTML tags - just type and format as if it were a Word document. The tags are taken care of for you.

Hi
I would like to know "how to stop vertical scrolling text in javascript after one iteration". What i have is the text that scrolls continuously, and i want it to make it stop at the top of the box.

i am in need to access a remote IIS from my local IIS. i have tried to connect the remote IIS from local IIS but it throws an error in authentication. i tried with domain authentication and remote server authentication, but in vein. can any one help me with this issue.

Hi,
i implemented a custom OWA webpart. Its successfully retreives the mail and other contents. The problem is that it resizes to the entire web page size instead of the webpart size.i have given the width for the webpart. Even then it loads for the entire page width.

i tried to create a domain(from my free 3 domains package) but iam unable view it.
while creation, it says that, domain created successfully.
please tell me is this sufficient, or do i need to do any thing more here.

You need to ftp your web site up to the root of yur domain - your host should be able to provide ftp details.

Hello,
I'm hosting web application on win server 2003. At present this application is used only by office staff (around 15-20 ppl). The default page refreshes every one minute. Soon after sometime error message is displayed as,
'Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occured because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size reached.'
This is single threaded application. Following is connection string I'm using.

Right now I've configured IIS as following to correct this error.
Recycle worker process after every 30 mins
Recycle worker process after every 1000 requests
But soon this application has to be distributed to clients. Hence usage will increase and this error might occur more frequently. How to handle this error.
Another problem is when I install Mcafee anti virus, my smtp port gets blocked and application can not send any emails.
How to correct these errors?

Hi all,
I have a web farm using MS NLB (IIS6, NET 1.1). Currently we update the web app by xcopy-ing each individual server. This is a time consuming pain!
Has anyone used a central web app store (say a SAN type device) and pointed the IIS servers to that store for the code? If so, any noticable performance impacts? Any known bugs or issues I should think about in advance?

Hello!
I´ve got a few problems with the asp:hyperlink control.
1. with anchors one can reference html-elements on a page like this for an example
a href="#myDiv"> test /a
To make the browser scroll to the element. If I try the same with an asp:hyperlink it adds the entire url and then concatenates #myDiv at the end, resulting in that the browser no longer scrolls to the element. How do I stop this?
2. I´ve got an anchor with a really strange-looking url (used for a thickbox):
#TB_inline?height=260&width=416&inlineId=hiddenlogin&modal=true
When I convert the anchor to an asp:hyperlink it adds #TB_inline at the end of the url which makes the url unusable. How do I prevent this from happening?

Before you head over there though, take a look at your post: it's unreadable. If you plan to be doing even casual web development, you should really learn how to escape things like angle brackets. Failing that, use the checkbox titled "Ignore HTML tags in this message (good for code snippets)" to push your post through as plain text.
