Hi, is it possible to get the real link behind
"http://www.codeproject.com/News.aspx?nwid=6865" (and others)?
Microsoft keeps redirecting me to the german side, which does not have the requested page.
Perhaps there is another solution, but I have no idea.

Forum name for SQL/ADO/ADO.Net has changed to SQL and Database discussions but the Message Boards drop down list(or whatever it is) still shows the old name.

You're still confirmed, but it's been over 9 months since you've confirmed your address. Once 12 months have passed we assume that your email address is dead and buried and mark it as unconfirmed.
The reason we do this is because
1. We don't want to send emails to accounts that aren't active.
2. We don't want to run the risk that we're sending email to an account that was abandoned by one person and resurrected by another (eg hotmail accounts). We'd essentially be sending an email to someone who didn't ask for it
3. We want (and obviously need) to comply with Anti-spam laws
4. We want to ensure that, if we include an advertiser's ad in a newsletter we know, as accurately as possible, how many active accounts we send to. Other sites have big email lists and charge for every address on the list irrespective of whether address on the list have been inactive for 5 years. We try and do the right thing by you guys and ensure we only send emails you want; and we try and do the right thing by our advertisers and ensure we don't over-inflate our numbers and inadvertantly over-charge.

As more forums get added, and freqently moved around, I would like to be able to float my favourite forums to the top of the list. For example, I hardly ever visit the C++ forums. However, I visit the C# and ASP.NET forums frequently. I'd like them to appear at the top, or in a different colour or some other differentiating factor.
In fact, forums I never visit I'd like to hide from the list.
Also, I notice new forums popping up from time-to-time. If the forum list were ordered by my own choosing I'd put my favourites at the top, followed by the remainder in reverse order of their appearance on the site (so the newest was at the top).

Nice idea. The forum of VC++ went away from the drop-down list at the main page and I have to go into the main list to be able to select it

Thanks, and also now it appears in the list of articles, but now it is in the bottom since it has been posted and hidden for 2 days. I guess there is no way to change the date, no one will get to notice my article Anyways thanks for the help.

If you make a minor change you mark it as updated, and it will go through the list again. Keep in mind though, that you can update once every six days (or so). Just go through the edit article wizard.

Hello.
According to you suggestion, I made modifications to the article, yet the updated date did not change and the article was not even marked as update. I checked the "Mark as Updated" checkbox when submitting, and it has been more than 6 days since my last modification, so what is the problem? Is it a general bug or just specific to my article??!

I know this has been asked in various ways at various different times, but can we have the list of forums that shows up at the top of each forum at least sorted alphabetically. I noticed that two new forums were added and the sorting is very different from what it used to be. It would also be nice to put a "new" indicator next to the new forums, at least for the first week. If I wasn't paying attention, I might have missed the new ones.
