Depends on what you want or need. Personally I'm happy with a super charged Notepad.
I use UltraEdit. I love the source folding feature and column selection is handy when pasting in cities, postal codes, etc. Or formatting code to you liking when you copy from somewhere else.
I'm finding the only constant in software development is change it self.

Hi.
I want to build a web service with the task of downloading update files for a program. The requirement is that it will be hosted on a Linux machine.
I usually code in .NET.
What is the best option? The order of my preferences is:
1. Create an ASP .NET web service with Visual Studio and then migrate it to Mono. (it it even possible?)
2. Create the web service directly with Mono. (is it even possible?)
3. Ignore .NET and create the web service with Java and Apache Axis.

I would stay away from Mono. So, it would be 3.
Or, even better, why don't you use some LAMP language, such as Perl or Python? I bet it would be much easier than Java.

PHP is a server side language so no that is not possible. The way it is normally done is to use the code that you have above or a meta refresh tag. Check out meta refresh at wikipedia Meta_refresh[^]

Hi, last night I just install Red Hat Linux 9.0 on my desktop. Everything is running smoothly until the login screen. After I login I have made change to the screen resolution (resize the screen bigger) and I also change the color from 16 bit to million color. After that I restart the system, everything work fine during the boot progress. But when the login screen appear, the monitor start to disappear (the blank screen appear and the monitor led become from green to yellow).
I think that this problem occure because I change the resolution of the screen of the computer. Now i want it to return back to normal. In windows, there is an option Last Known Good Configuration to restore something that we making wrong to the system. But in Linux RH 9 I don't know where could I do that. Could someone let me know how to solve this problem? Thank in advance!!!
