Hi,
I am having this problem with this ModalPopUpControl from Ajax. It did pop up as it meant to be but I want it to do something more.
Basically, there are two Panel that will pop up, lets name it Panel1 and Panel2. Panel2 will appear after Panel1 if some conditions are met, if not, it shoudl not appear.
So in Panel1, I put a button Button1, hoping I can put in some condition under this button to call out Panel2. I want the protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) to fire but it seems nothing happens, it just show me Panel2 straight without checking the condition.
So I wanted to know how can I set some conditions to stop the ModalPopUpControl to proceed if the conditions are not met.
Or another way is how I can invoke a button click from javascript so that it will run the protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) for me since the ModalPopUpControl has a OnOkScript which will call a javascript function in the page.
Thanks in advance.

U have to write those code in Button ONClick event ,

If there are two fields firstname and latsname with values s and a.if we concatenate using sql we get s,a.Suppose a is null then how i check a is null and print s itself using sql select query.
How can a be null if its a value in a field, do you mean if one of the fields is null?
Yes if one of the field is null then how we can concatenate it by checking the null refrence.
SELECT ISNULL(firstName,'') + ISNULL(lastName,'') ...
Thanks for your kind reply sir.The answer is very helpful to me.
also i want to put a comma between the fields.if the field is not null insert a comma and if the value is null dont display the comma. How is it done with this isnull statement.
I attach a query below.in this the street and area is null. Please send a query that help to me.
SELECT ISNULL(Building, '') + ISNULL(Street, '') + ISNULL(Area, '') + ISNULL(District, '') + ISNULL(State, '') + ISNULL(Country, '') + ISNULL(PostalCode, '')
AS Expr1
FROM SA_Address
WHERE (AddressID = 13)
this gets a little more complex, and I would suggest that this is display logic so should therefore be in the presentation layer rather than the database layer. So if it were me I would be selecting each field from the address table and dealing with the presentation in the presentation layer.
If you insist upon doing it in the wrong place, you want something like
SELECT
CASE WHEN Building IS NULL THEN ''
ELSE Building + ',' END +
CASE WHEN Street IS NULL THEN ''
ELSE Street + ',' END +
CASE WHEN Area IS NULL THEN ''
ELSE Area + ',' END +
... (etc)
Thanks for your kind reply sir.in isnull no way to check like that.Is any way to check in isnull itself.
Actually, yes there is.
SELECT ISNULL(Street + ',','') + ISNULL(Building + ',','') ...
My brain farted first time round!

The postback url must be posting back to a different state because the controls are not found. Are you transferring sessions from page to page?

This puts the code in the same page as the ASPX. How nasty.
I recommend buying a book and working through the examples in there, rather than grabbing code off the web and trying to work out how to run it. The answer to your question is that VS2005 has a web server built in, so just hitting F5 should launch your page.

I didnt know there was a login control for ajax...

There isn't, nor should there be. Excepting of course that AJAX is just a way to use javascript, so you can write any control you like with it.

Well, I would not do that. b/c the only way to log in with pure AJAX, is to make the person logged in, in javascript, which can be hacked.
