create a function that will return string from a function
like this

Hi I tried that but that is not working. Actually my problem is, am using curomvalidator to validate radio buttons. In customvalidator am displaying ErrorMessage="Credit value must be selected". but I wanted to display that message dynamically.i.e depends on country it should display in that language. for that I have created resource files... I used ResourceManager.GetString("Credit"). How Can I assing this value to ErrorMessage in apsx page..?
<asp:CustomValidator id="vld1PaymentType" ClientValidationFunction="ValidateRadiobutton" runat="server"
ErrorMessage="Credit value must be selected" Display="none" Enabled="false"> </asp:CustomValidator>
I tried with the below line, but its not working.
ErrirMessage = <%=resourceManager.GetString("Credit") %>
Can you help in this one?

It depends on How your custom validator is rendering the error message
Don't assign any error message at serever side e.g ErrorMessage=""
and first get you control by docuement get element by Id and then assign its value

hai,
currently i m using ASP.NET with C#
(.net 2005, 2.0 framework).
actually, i m trying to upload files from EXCEL to SQL Server and i processed.
The thing is, in excel file the 1st row is considered as database column name,
and those database column name is given in excel sheet of 1st row.
But its not in the USER FRIENDLY manner.
for example..
my database column name (F_name, L_Name) should be the 1st row of excel sheet.
but the user is in need of (First Name, Last Name).
so here i m trying to convert the First Name to F_Name and Last Name to L_Name.
how to achieve it?

Hi friends...
Since last 2 days , i had late nights... my problem is..
i have a server and i publish a webservice on it, with only 2 functions for insert the datas tat its getting. i have my client machines in 5 different place, say 30 km away.. At every 30 mins the client machine will send an some datas to the webservice. But im getting an error tat..
"The underlying connection was closed. unable to connect remote server."i'm not getting vats it. i searched in search engines but its not worth.
can anybody help me..
vats all i tried is.
1. change the setting in web config of webservice. (Not worked)
2. checked whether the clients can access webservice (Worked)
3. changed the timeout (NW).
......
But Since last week it worked fine.. but 2 days b4 my ip was changed , after tat only i hve tis pblm.. And also, i have another application with another webservice. But its working fine..Can anyone help me....

I am working on read mail's from server using pop3 , I am using pop3client . actually
My scenario is in server contains 10 mail , 1st time I read 10 mail but I am not deleting that mails, I am going to read 2nd time I read all messages but I want only unread messages how it is possible please help me. Thanks in advance.

Are you using any user control or anything ?
document.form1.message1 might not work in Mozilla browser Again
closing bracket should be after id="Message" instead of rows="5"

I have a wizardcontrol with 3 steps
In step 2 i have a gridview bound to a sqldatasource (In design time) and im setting the selectedindex = 0 in designtime as well
If a condition is met on step one, i need to skip step 2 and go to step 3 (The selectedvalue of the first row in the gridview wil be used)
In step 3 i just need to get the selectedvalue of the gridview in step 2
In step 3, when i try to get the selectedvalue, selectedvalue is nothing, even though selectedindex = 0 and rows.count > 0, ive also tried with datakeys(0), but i get an error of index out of the bunds of the array
Why is this happening??
Does the gridview need to be shown in the page in order to set the selectedvalue??
If i go step after step, selectedvalue of gridview has the corresponding value
