hello all
I need to center align the contents of my web page as many of the websites does these days(eg. www.msn.com), while reading through diff sites i got to know that we can do it with hlp of css files but not exactly how....can anyone hlp me out on same??

it depennds how u align the tables.In tables u can align contents in center.no need to go for css.
right click inside the table > build style > align : center

please don't use tables, it much better to use div tags and then use css to position
Do you want your website to be 800x600 or bigger?

Put the content in a div and use javascript to center it. works for all screen resolutions. check this link [^]

i tried your stuff its gud enough for me
but only problem is its not working with mozilla thou its working with IE

I am not able to Debug, while working.I had been putting breakpoints but on running and pressing F10 i am not able to go to that place .Why is it happning .
While putting breakpoints i get this message as tooltip
"No symbol had been loaded for this document"

plz help

First try recreating the excel from the db and then temperory place it in the web server.Now you can open it in a new window or do a response.Redirect to that file.\

I am developing a site for purchase products.
So i am using paypal for payment.
I am sending reqired items on paypal and paypal ask for loginId or credit card detail.
In my testing account i login and pay the amount.
After the above process PAYPAL show conformation page and a Button (retun to you site) after clicking on that button i back on my site.

All the above proces is going well but i want to come back on my site without the paypal conformation page or button click.

(i need that because on retun from pappal i update the use account.)
please help some one.

You need to either not use paypal, or see if they have a paid option that does what you want. Or change your design.

Hi Rajiv
I am also gone through same situation. For that purpose you have to use
paypal IPN. You can send a ipn page url to paypal. While processing is carried out paypal call this page in backgroud you can check transaction status here if it is success then update user account.

Dialogue box

Hi All,
Can any body please help me in writing a dialogue box, so that it will have some DropDown list box and a button in it. When the button is clicked it should return some values/value to the web form. Can any body give me an easy to understand blog or any code snippet. Any kind of help is thankfull.

Your question doesn't make any sense to me. Are you trying to create a custom web control ?

Hi,
I have one web form and i want to put a dialogue box in it so that a selected value of the dialogue box should appear in the calling web form. Means two ways communication between form and dialogue box.
Doesnt it sense really Navneeth?

You can do it in a number of ways

1) use a div and javascript to do this.
<div id="test" style="visibility:hidden;">
Your content that need to be shown as a dig box
</div>

function showDialog()
{
document.getElementById("test").style.visibility = visible;

document.getElementById("test").style.left = event.clientX + "px";
}

similarrly write the functiont o hide it by setting the visibility to hidden.

2) If you are using Ajax use the model popup extender that is comming with the ajax control tool kit.

Hi Laddie,
Good Idea from you Laddie but I have tried with this already and putting it at appropriate place is difficult. So I have choosen to go for the dialog box of VB.Net or C#.Net so that it can be shown and when button is clicked it will return some value to the calling web form.

then why not try using Prompt("Enter a value") in java script

You can use like this....

Hi Laddie,
Prompt will not work Laddie because I have to put some set of controls like combobox textboxes and button etc.
I tried with this but when I make the div1 invisible the div2 part should automatically occupy the div1 place. But here it is leaving some space. I tried to chenge it style position then its giving error. Any help if possible.

After all the time you've been posting here, you still don't know how ASP.NET works ? You can't run a C# or VB.NET winforms dialog box from a web app.
