Dear All,
i have parent aspx page that have two controls, iframeParent and a buttonParent.
i have given child aspx page as the source of iframeParent control. child page has a buton control buttonChild.
now my requirement is
when i click the button(buttonParent)in the parent page the click event of the button(buttonChild)of child page should be called. is there any way to do this?

Hello all! I am new to the ASP.NET arena. I have a college project that I am doing that requires me to build an e-commerce website (my own idea, that will be online after it is completed). I need to know several things. I will list them below, and if anyone can point me toward some good research material, I would greatly appreciate it!!! The list of needed topics are as follows:
- Stored Procedures (within ASP.NET)
- Link ASP.NET login control to my SQL Server 2005 database (not through the Membership class)
- Anything else that may be of help that relates to Data access and manipulation within ASP.NET
I hope that I am not being to vague here! If anyone has any suggestions that could be of direct assistance, that would be great. However, I am
simply asking for some pointers to some valid research material. I have some books coming in the mail, but I need to get a head start on this project, as it is due in 6 weeks!  Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Stored procs are easy to call in ADO.NET. ASP.NET has nothing to do with it.
Roll your own membership system, then you have complete control
ASP.NET has nothing to do with database access. However, ADO.NET works exactly like it does in winforms.

strored prosedures are complied objects,,,,you can use these to increase the processing of your projects,,,you just need to right click on the database name and the choose create stored procedures,,,then you can apply that procedures anywhere in your projects inspite of worryin abt typin the wueries again and again

How can I perform goint to Next,Previous,First and last record of a dataset.
All of these events will be fired on click of the respective button.
I know that i have to use SqlDataReader but unable to implement the same.
Any Code will be helpful for me.

Not true. There are numerous ways to define a data source.
You can set up the GridView, at least, to do this for you, but I prefer to write controls for the links and write a stored proc that takes a page number and count, and handle it myself.

Agreed SqldataReader is forward only....
But how can i achieve this...without any grid
I have a no of data for a record so i am not using datagrid.
I am showing it in different textboxes and dropdowns.
On the click of next or previous button the respected textboxes and dropdowns shd be filled automatically with the correct data.

How/Can I select the columns of entire database tables? I am going to clear about the question.
For select all columns of one tabble.
Select * from TableName.
Similarly, what is the query for select * from *(all tables inside a database).

If there is, then the SQL forum is the place to ask. I doubt it very much tho. For starters, that query can't work, b/c it doesn't establsih joins between tables, nor can it. I'm sure there's a SQL Server proc to find all tables in a DB tho.

Hi,
I have a problem with maintainScrollPositionOnPostBack. I tried to set it both in web.config and in the page itself. But whenever I do a postback the page is reset to the top. The code does seem to be in the source:

My host support ASP.Net 2.

Well, logically, that just can't be true unless there's something you're not telling us. A required field validator isn't going to change based on what hard drive or server it's on.

You'll need to know the ids of your differnt buttons and do it using javascript. Unless you do a postback every time, which is ugly in this day and age.

No, there were major changes between 2003 and 2005, so even if you had not used any new .NET 2.0 language features, I doubt it will work.
