Umm, let me try again. I'll do my best to be a bit clearer. (IIS6, Server2003)
I have a web app that has a subfolder (/subfolderA) requiring a login page with forms authentication and roles. Goes against a custom sql2005 database for authentication and that's working fine.
But, I have another subfolder (/subfolderB) that requires its own login that goes against a different sql2005 database for authentication - one having nothing to do with the other.
When I tried to put a separate webconfig file in /subfolderB, it required that the subfolder be a separate app. That meant that references to MasterPages, images, etc., be in /subfolderB (or referenced explicitly). That seems to be contrary to what I've read on good development?
Does anyone know a way in the original webconfig to have two separate login page references, or is there a better way to do this?

That seems mostly clear now. Yes you do seem to be running into an inherent premise that different logins means different applications. I assume there is some reason beyond your control that there are different membership databases since that would certainly not be a typical good practice design.
Before accepting the situation and therefore solution as you have described it, I would certainly make an exhaustive effort to look for a way to make those two membership systems look like one from a project perspective. That would allow you to have a single sign on scenario for the site, the users and your project thereby eliminating all the added complexity for everyone just because of the poor membership database design. I would imagine this is possible and there might be a variety of choices in regards to how to do it. The first options would be to look at using database technology to integrate the two disparate systems.

I use a dataset as a temp. table. This dataset is created during running time. After input all the data, I need to sort dataset table. How can I do multi-column sorting on dataset table? Can I use 'Select ... Order By ' on dataset table? Please let me know. Thanks

I think you can do order by, and then put the order of the columns you wanted ordered i.e order by person_id, name
something like that, hope it makes sense!

You might not be able to sort a DataSet since it is designed to house multiple tables and relationships. However you can sort a DataView[^] which can be obtained from a DataTable of the DataSet.

Hi,
My application is online Hotel booking,in which i have two langauge selection English and German, and i am using the AjaxCalendar control to display the dates.
i have Fromdate and Todate Textboxes to save the Dates,and i am following Server side validation.In which i am using RangeValidation Control and Compare validator control.It' s working for English language selection(date format will be mm/dd/yyyy default). when i am select the German language the format of the dates will be dd.mm.yyy, which is the validation is not support.
Please help me.which control will help to validaton the dates.

Im not sure if this can help you
I had an app that was working fine on my local machine, then when i uploaded it to another server the validation control started failing (actually the whole page would fail), i solved it by placing this in the web.config
<globalization culture="es-MX" uiculture="es-MX" />
This is at app level, but you can set at page level depending on the language selected by the user or the default language of the browser
Hope you fix your problem

You didn't check ignore html and you mustn't have auto encode checked, either.

Hi
Anyone here know of a package I can buy that'll do web based SQL server backed calendars with access control?
I've tried something from Ocean12 which is OK but written in Javascript and looks a bit difficult to maintain/modify.
Ideally something that is ready to deploy in C# but any of the .NET languages will do. Equally if someone has a solution they'd like to sell do let me know.
I'm not interested in Google or any of the commercial hosted solutions as I need the data to stay on the range ...

Hi,
I created a printer friendly page which renders the report as an "image" into a memory stream. On the printer friendly page I have an image button which displays the image. Some of the columns did not render and not all rows are included. Can anyone assist me with this issue. Also, how do I reference the memory stream without saving it in session (see *****************)

What I have added to the above code:

The pagewidth in the rdlc is 8.5in but for some reason it cuts of when rendered. The pagewidth setting above solves the columns being cut off (and still fits on a portrait pagesetup. Now, if I increase the pageheight it also includes the entire report vertically, BUT how do I calculate what the correct height must be, what happens with the above code is that it includes all rows of data plus a number of empty pages to make up for the 100inches, which is not what I want. Another problem that comes from this settings is that the first page is blank and the report starts printing on the second page. please give ideas.

Okay, so the above code renders a local report into images, which is saved in a list<stream>. Each stream is a page of the report. Then is redirects it to a printer friendly page which creates an literal image for every item in list<stream> using multipleimaging.aspx. The printerfriendly page contains a print button with btPrint.Attributes.Add("onclick", "javascript:location.reload(true);window.print();"); in page_load.
Hope some one else can find this helpful, please let me know if there is a better/faster way to accomplish client-side printing of a localreport. By the way, does the .net 2008 reportviewer control which does include a printer icon, prints on the server-side or on the client-side?
