Hi all! as we know if we creates an UserControl thenwe can get HttpRequest object using this.Request property. now which interface should i implement for creating a custom control in order to getting HttpRequest object in custom control?
|

|
|
|
I need to subclass an extender control and put it inside a UserControl.
But the target control will be on the webpage.
However when I assign the TargetControlID="TextBox1" I get the following error:
Server Error in '/SampleWebSite' Application.<br />
-------------------------------------------<br />
The TargetControlID of 'MyExtender' is not valid. A control with ID 'TextBox1' could not be found.<br /> Here, "MyExtender" is the UserControl which has the extender control inside it. The "TextBox1" is on the webpage where this UserControl is used.
Obviously it is looking for the TextBox1 inside the UserControl itself. How can I make it search on the entire webpage instead?
What is the way to properly assign the TargetControlID in such a case?
Thanks,

Hi,
I have a weird problem I've been trying to solve for a couple of hours now. I have a user control that works fine, the only problem is that if I add that control to my page in visual studio the control will not be declared in the designer.cs file. I don't get any error messages or anything. If I add code manually to declare the control it will work, but that is not how you want to work.
Any suggestions?
I have looked over the markup in the control as well as the page and I can't find anything that seems wrong.
Regards,

Find the problem myself. I had a gridview control in my user control. For the gridview control I had specified a RowCommand eventhandler as well as PageIndexChanging eventhandler. If a RowCommand eventhandler is specified it seems like that one will override PageIndexChanging, and for that reason it will seem like two eventhandlers are declared for one event, and that will cause Visual Studio to miss behave.

Hi,
I have created a local report in asp.net 2. What are my different options available to accomplish the client to be able to print this report on the client printer. If I use pdf format I get the report in portrait layout. (Is it possible to make it open a landscape pdf?) If I use javascript:window.print(); it adds blank spaces and remove the lines in the details rows. Are those my only options? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanx

i am having issues with the z-index of the combobox. I am showing a div above the page, for popup simulation. But the combobox in the page is coming over the div. On searching on this issue, i got that putting a iframe behind the div will solve the issue.
Cn anyone tell me how to put div inside the iframe tag.
Following is some part of my code..
<asp:panel id="divheader" runat="server" cssclass="bxh_blue">

<asp:label id="labelattach" runat="server" cssclass="lblreg" text="Select the information you would like to attach: ">
Forms
<asp:checkbox id="chkMed" checked="true" validationgroup="1" text="Medications" runat="server">
| <asp:checkbox id="chkAll" checked="true" validationgroup="2" text="Allergies" runat="server">
| <asp:checkbox id="chkSur" checked="true" validationgroup="3" text="Surgical History">
runat="server" />
