See, Brammah. This is the kind of stuff I am talking about. The number of Indians doing this outweigh you, and the other great's from your country at least 50:1. I wasn't trying to be racist, as I never mentioned India by name until someone else did. However, take a look at posts like this. When you see them, look at their profile. More often than not, they are from India. I hope I didn't offend you, as I respect you. Please see my reply to your message in the original thread.

I've read your replies. I'd agree with your point that there are a lot of crappy posts floating around posted by Indians. But I was just against your idea of blocking posts based on a country, rather than an individual. At times, we get irritated by their attitude we may become rude while replying. But, never say something like "People from this country are stupids" or the kind. After having said that, adding notes like "There are exceptions too" wouldn't do any good. If you know that there are exceptions, then make your generalization with some other factor, which will leave no exceptions!
Please bear in mind that I would be saying this to you, even if you were talking about any other country too, just like how so many others who are non-Indians, who stated their views about your idea. Hope that I'm clear.

You are correct. While there are crappy posts out there, my statement was not right. The "exceptions" I made were made null because of what I said. My statement was made out of frustration and anger, and I was wrong to say it. I know there are a lot of great Indian programmers, such as yourself, who are no doubtedly better than me. I hope you, and the other Indians here at CP will find it in your heart to forgive me. What I said was 100% wrong.

Hey, please don't apologize repeatedly. I don't have anything against you. It's not just you making such a mistake here. I've been making several such mistakes and I apparently learned how I should talk and behave in public. Especially, when you comment something bad about a specific group of people, it apparently becomes a racist comment, even though it weren't in your thoughts. I mean - nobody will want to give you just a damn. You've said it and that's it. Such things are very sensitive and you need to handle it with utmost care. If your post stirs up a slight misunderstanding, there would be a flame-war and the replies you'd get is definitely going to be hurting you for a good long time. Additionally, it would literally destroy any of your hard earned reputation easily. They will remember you as "the racist guy".
I was upset because at the first time, you made a very wrong statement. And to add to it, your suggestion was completely against the spirit of the community. As somebody already stated, we will have to live with this pond of crap and get the golden fishes out. There's just no way out. The main reason why you find a lot of crap posts is that this is an unmoderated community. But, look at the other side of it. You have the freedom to do just about anything. It may take you a while to understand it. After all, you learn from your mistakes, even though sometimes it is painful.
And you just don't need anyone's forgiveness after you've realized your mistakes (look at the post about Love in my profile page). Realizing your mistake is all is required. I promise you that I (and so many) were sure you had nothing against Indians or anybody for that matter. But then it should come out of your mouth for all good reasons.
Be a little more careful in the future, or better just ignore the crap-posts. Mark them as spam or abuse for the worst posts. If everyone does the same, the posts will just disappear. I'm glad you've taken the time to explain your part of the story. Now forget what happened, cheer up and move on.

I have no idea what you mean by a pop-up window. Do you mean a floating control bar? In which case, you need to get the window you created, and you may need to call GetDockingFrame to get the window you actually move.

Hi ,
I am new to windows mobile 2003 SDK and eMbadded VC++ 4. So don't mind me if this is sound big deal for me
I Install the SDK and eMbadded VC++ 4 in my machine which is running on windows XP.
When I try to start a new project in eMbadded VC++ 4 and after naming the project and all the other thing, I get to the stage when I press " Finish". At that time it show at the bottom right corner ( status bar) " loading class information" and it seem the eMbadded VC++ 4 is freeze in the way that it not responding.
Any idea why and how to resolve the problem.
I really appreciate any input.

Have you tried reinstalling Embedded VC++. I have been using it for years without any problems.
You might want to download a fresh copy and install that, just incase your download was corrupted or something.

Answer:
To get the instance of an activex control you can use AfxGetInstanceHandle() in MFC.
eg: g_hInstance = AfxGetInstanceHandle();
or if u are developing a Win32 ActiveX Control you can use HANDLE hModule in dllmain function is the HINSTANCE.
like this way -
int Dllmain(HMODULE hModule...)
{
g_hInstance = (HINSTANCE) hModule;
......................
......................
}

just wanted to know how do i set the progress bar.. i am creating a media player.. a simple player where in we can play and stop the song. now i need to add more functionalites.. i want to implemeny a progress bar which moves as the songs goes on... or rather synchonizes with the song.. some leads.. if sombody has done is then please help me in doing this.
