Hi,
How to check correct syntax (ok...validate) of a vbScript file?
in other words is there a way to verify the semantic correctness of a vbs?

If there is code in the VBS file that isn't well-formed, the interpreter will throw a run-time error.
I'm not sure why you need to worry about this. Wouldn't any code problems get identified and fixed during your testing phase?

vbs files are created with an editor and runned at a later time, in batch. I would like to have a "compiler" that validate (without run) the code and that inform the user at least of "syntax errors".
For example the object MSScriptControl.ScriptControl has Addcode method for include and run the code, but what about "check-without run" the code.....
I've thought about using the method .addmodule, but I wanted some advice

Hi All,
I have loaded php page in html page using IFRME tag.Now i want to track the events(like button clicked) from the php page into the my original html page using javascript. Does anyone know how can I do that? Is there any other suggetion?

Yep, you can. But the tracking code have to be written in the php code only. (i.e) when the button click, you can set some values to the parent html page using parent.document.body.myvalue = 'hi' (something like this).

As you tell its right.But I want to know that if my this IFRAME source page is in different domain than the my original page(html page) then can I access that page's controls through my html page's javascript ?? If yes then how can I do that?

Yes. But this can be achieved only if you know the button/control name. We can inject our code from the HTML page into other domain's page's button, only when you know the button name/id.

hai all,
I placed treeview control in my web page.. data are retrieved from the database and that is displaing using this tree view control.If i run that page in internet explorer it is comming fine i.e no problem in alignment..But if i run that application in mozilla firefox the alignment problem is comming..Can u please tell me the solution for that..

If the Treeview control is on a div and the text alignment of the DIV is left or right then the content on the tree view will take to the respective direction on IE.
Go to your css and remove text-align

Can anybody help me how to create menus which will show submenus as soon as we place mouse on it the submenu must come out from main menu and mouse out submenu must go back to main menu.
Please note not to use method Hide and Show.

I have a list of lines that contain non-terminated anchor tags, as in my example. I would like to know where to start in making a Firefox add-in that will extract the href attribute and element text, i.e. the link description, from the list of lines.
Of course my first step is to get something working on the raw data, got through "View Page Source", then later on I can try and integrate it into FF. My first issue is that, if the tags were well formed, I could more easily use a regexp for this, but that could get trickey. I'm thinking of somehow querying the DOM for

My first goal in this project is to have a small application, probably with a WebBrowser control, that I can paste HTML into and parse as described earlier. Once I can extract the list of links I want, hopefully from the DOM of whatever is rendering the HTML, then only will I proceed to get it working inside of FF.

Have, as in, you're pulling them from a web host somewhere? Or a text file? Or...?
If they're being served as a web page and you need to somehow post-process the DOM to make them valid, then you'll need to deal with the browser's own methods of correcting invalid HTML. If you intend to get your hands on them first (say, via a client-script XMLHttpRequest, or client-side POST body, or something) then it's a bit easier - you just need to find out what constraints are in place (for instance, each anchor is terminated by a linefeed) and design your parser to take that into consideration.

in visual studio command prompt

when i want to create wrapper that time it gives me
reference assembly not found error
i want to create it with rcw option only.
withought using it if i give only .ocx path it creates two dll.
is there any difference between using with and withought rcw.
please tell me how to overcome this.

Hi, my boss is killing me and he wants a simple database application in which multiple users can fill in their data using a website, I told him it might take me sometime to develop as this will be my first asp.net application ever!! So he asked me if there's another simple way to do it using one of the microsoft office application packages or some wizard in some application and I wonder.. is there??

That depends how much he wants to spend. You might take a look at Cold Fusion or Iron Speed. If he's insisting you do it in house I'd make it utterly minimal to start with, trivial security, a trivial HTML UI witha trivial backend database and then refuse to do anyhting to until you can get a proper spec out of him. At least then he will hopefully get enough of an idea as to what's involved to appreciate how much it ought to cost. 
Nothing is exactly what it seems but everything with seems can be unpicked.
