By default the asp.net application will work under aspnet user rights.
aspnet user don't have rights to create files in the hard drive.
if you want to write files in the server, you can go one of follwing way.
1. share the path, give the rights to every one. write the file in this shared folder.
2. give the admin rights to the asp.net (it's worst case, nobody accept).
3. User impersonation. - search asp.net impersonation for more info.

I am dilip, you can remove element from array you need to check whether element consists of null then you need to shift up array.

hi friends,
i am getting a run time error when i am trying to access the function defined in the webservice(WFC) from the client(i.e webform).
COULD NOT FIND DEFAULT ENDPOINT ELEMENT THAT REFERENCES CONTRACT 'CITIZENSERVICE.ICITIZENSERVICE' IN THE SERVICEMODEL CLIENT CONFIGURATION SECTION. THIS MIGHT BE BECAUSE NO CONFIGURATION FILE WAS FOUND FOR YOUR APPLICATION, OR BECAUSE NO ENDPOINT ELEMENT MATCHING THIS CONTRACT COULD BE FOUND IN THE CLIENT ELEMENT.
Web service Name : CITIZENSERVICE
Interface Name : ICITIZENSERVICE

i m using gridview to show the user and a child gridview to show the user details in the parent gridview cell..
my parent grid has two columns and child grid opens in the first cell.
now i want to show this grid in both cells..
the way to do this is merging the two cells.
but, how can i do this...
Please help me ...

Hi I am new to Asp.net....
I am converting a htm files in to aspx files for localization issues.
I have a table with width=100% and height = 100%.
when I open the html page inside a fixed frame window. The table is not filling the whole window.
I want the last <tr> of the table to be on the bottom frame of the window. The below is the piece of my table.
At present the last <tr> of the main table is displayed above the window size. I want the empty space between the tr and the window size to be removed....
any help is highly appreciated....

sir i changed my system firewall settings now i can acccess website installed on my system from any where on my LAN except from LOcal Server why this happen have to change any firewall settings on local server help me

ok. maybe u should setting your proxy, if you have any. so you can access your own localhost.
ooorrrrr... maybe you should setting your browser.
if ie = internet options -> connections -> lan settings -> bypass proxy server for local address
if firefox = ....well, i believe you can do it...

session variable will be reseted , once you close the browser window,
if you want to keep the values until reset the server,
use Application variables or cache variables.
also - if the browser disabled the cookies, session variables will reseted every postback of the page.

iam printing a grid view by using the following java script. I want to use paging however this JS is only printing the first page. Any ideas on how can print all and use paging.

This is not printing the Gridview alone. it's printing the whole page. It will print whole contents of page. So if your grid view is showing only first page, you will get only that in print out. To get a complete print, you should show all data on the page.

Hi,
I want to use one Excel object in my web application, i.e with only one EXCEL process and we can use that process.
I am using
Excel.Application objExcelApp = new Excel.Application();
once the process opened it should not create a new instance for another user only use the current instance. I am using C#.
