Visual Studio Generates style tags when you drag drop any control, so just remove the style tags which are generated by the IDE.

Use this line of code where you want to change the HeaderText
"Cell[0]" where0 is the index of the cell

GridView1.HeaderRow.Cells[0].Text = "Usman";

can anyone tell me what type of styles are used to show the color as glowing(like in yahoo front page)and also the color codes of the colors used in the yahoo front page.

If the color changes, it's being done with javascript, no style or color changes by itself.

hey thanx for the reply.by the way i didn't asked about how the color changes.i want to design like yahoo menu bars.is that menu bars are images designed using some design tools (like flash,photoshop)or designed as aspx pages.

That's CSS. you create a one pixel wide bitmap with the gradient and make it the background image of the button, repeating.

The glowing effect is created with images, have a look at the css for the site and you will find the url of the images.
For example here is the header image[^]. You can create this type of image very easily using Photoshop etc but I usually use The Gimp[^] as its free / open source.

there are some gradient effects in CSS you can also use that if you dont want to use the Image.

You have to install ASP.NET Ajax and Toolkit in your machine. then, create the ASP.NET Ajax website so you will be able to use this calendar control. I suggest you to take a look at QuickStart tutorial of ASP.NET Ajax..

Hi I was following this link
http://asp.net/AJAX/AjaxControlToolkit/Samples/Walkthrough/Setup.aspx and did exactly what they mentioned but when adding a AjaxControlToolkit.dll i get an error msg that says.

There was an error loading types from assembly ....Bin\AjaxControlToolkit.dll
Counld not load file or assembly 'System.web.extensions, version=1.0.61025.0...

not sure what i am doing wrong.

please help

The project type that you are using should be ASP.NET Ajax project type.. Try to create new ASP.NET ajax and try to use AjaxControlToolkit.dll.. and see whether you are able to use that dll or not.. let us know the result..

I use FilePrint() API which print file directly from code,but I want to show print dialog box to select printer before printing the content.

AFAIK, You can use window.print(); Javascript if you want to show the printer dialog. Check-out this example[^]

HI,
My problem is to print microsoft project file through code.I can do it by using Fileprint API but it doesn't show dialog box.
As u suggestion I can't call Fileprint API in javascript and print it,so only Window.print() will not serve my purpose.

Could any one please help me out. Actually i want to insert values from two different text boxes into a single column of database as different rows in C#, it may be MySql or SQL Server Database. Currently what i am doing is i am inserting values like this

This will create one new row. To create a column, you need to insert two rows, into a table that only takes one value. Also, your code is a disaster on many levels, if I visit your website, I can delete your entire database, very easily. Read up on SQL injection attacks.
