Do I need to create an instance of .ascx page into .aspx page and then call it from .aspx page.I did what you said,but not working.I will copy the code below:
at the ascx page:

I read ur reply.I have lots os controls into (Menu.ascx)eg - hyperlink,label etc.
Actually I have created one Menu(Menu.ascx) as a user control,in which I have one label control.At my web page(Products.aspx),i am receiving a value from a textbox,which I want to pass on to a user-control's label value.So that when ever value is changing in textbox,label value should also get incremented accordingly.
I hope now the scenario will be more clearer.

here in code behind you can get that control's ID,
so, control.Property = "set property"

Hi,
I am fillilng a dropdown list which is inside a updatepanel through a button click event. But after clicking the button again to fill the dropdown only the updateprogress moving icon gets displayed. i think the page hangs.

i am binding 50,000 records . fetching it from database. i tried doing without updatepanel. its working fine. after including updatepanel and updateprogress controls , second click it hangs.

Hi,
its really very simple.
For that you have to set Autopostback porperty of first 2 dropdown to True.
Now onselected index changed event of dropdown get data appropriate to selected item in dropdown..

maybe, that one has some problems.  I think it is better if you contact with your host because the most of hosting companies used to host a lot of email server and those server got delayed for some reasons.
