there is a logical error in your code, what if bmi equals 24.95?
solution: you should drop all the >= conditions

What access modifier would I use so that:
Functions within the class have read and write access to the subject &
Anything external has read-only access?
Many thanks with this stumping question,

Marking a method as Private means it can only be accessed by code within the current class.
Marking a method as Friend means it can only be accessed by code within the current assembly.
Hope this helps.

Since .NET 2.0 C# supports properties with different access modifiers for thet get and the set
part, so you could have a public get and a private set. Not sure how it is in VB.NET tho.
If it is not available, you can always make your own public Get and private Set methods!

Yes Paul, I am aware of that, but what I don't know is whether they can have different
access modifiers, as was introduced in C# 2.0

No. You need to gather requirements from the client as to what they want in their application.

Mobile phone, or land-line phone?
You should check with the phone manufacturer, for all you know, it can be a dumb device where no interfacing is possible, or it can be a super-smart device where APIs are provided.
If it's mobile phone, which brand/OS is it using, Symbian? Windows Mobile? Palm OS? for each of these OS, are there APIs available? If so, are there APIs for getting the information that you want?
Software systems are not magic. Just because a temperature is displayed on your fridge doesn't mean that you can get it into your computer without some sort of hardware/software interfacing.

Have you tried to solve the problem yourself? It sounds like you are asking someone to do your work for you.
ComboBox.SelectedText will give you the currently selected text. Use this value in a query to get the surname.
manni_n wrote: respective surname should come down in textbox from database instantaneously
Somehow I think this is unlikely.

thanks for your answer buddy
but you didnt get that problem exactly ..
i don't want selected item.
it can be easily obtained from selecteditem.
i want an event whenever item gets selected its respective database value gets filled in textbox.
anyways i have solved the problem
ComboBox1_SelectionChangeCommitted event can serve the purpose by putting query in this event.
and binding the surname value in textbox

Hi all,
I have a dataset which has 3 tables. They have relation by ds.Relations.Add(...)
Now I want a filtration like a master table i.e. ds.tables(0) should be filtered by one column like ds.tables(0).Select("Site_ID = 5")
(which will return datarow array now) and I want its children rows should be filtered appropriately.
Instead of table.Select(...) is there any other way?
Thank You
