Hey man, thanx for all your responses..bud the smtp server is active, because we can send mails with other app's..anyway thanx.

Yes i had a talk yesterday with a guy that knows exchange better than me and he told me also that smtp is active by default. so sorry about that one..
hmm.. are you trying to send the e-mail from inside your network or from the internet? because the smtp port is not accessible from the internet.. (which is no problem if you're sending a mail from inside your network..)

I guess you've already tried to disable your anti-virus software, didn't you?
Just to be sure what causes the problem...

Hi Laubi,
Yes i did. Bud i get the same issue.

Sometimes you have to enable remote usage for an smtp server... For example, with my google email account, I have to explicitly enable email forwarding through my smtp server. Otherwise, my e-mails are refused. Also, make sure the name you put in the "From" field matches the user sending the e-mail. Often, to avoid spamming, smtp servers REQUIRE that the identities match (ie, you cant send something while logged in as "Joe@foo.com" where the "from" field is populated with "Jane".) Also be sure to check the port and ip address of the smtp server (as noted in previous posts). If none of that works, try changing the "To" field to be a different email address than the "From" field. I don't think it will help, but you never know until you try. That's all the insight I have to offer, so I hope it helps!

Hi
Is there any way to create a settings file so that all the methods and class level variables get sorted.
Thanks in advance

Are you talking about generating documentation from source code XML comments? If so why not say that?
|
|
|
|
|
no
i am not talking about that. i am speaking about the settings file that is used to set indents and other properties of the code(for eg: .cs file)
is there any way to sort the methods and class level variables with that??

Stop talking about the freaking settings file! What are you trying to sort your source code?
|
|
|
|
|
yessssss
i am talking about that only "METHODS" and "CLASS LEVEL VARIABLES" that exist in the source code.
And also there exists a setting file to set indent level for lines for eg:
if() {
-- Code --- indent two spaces
}
i guess you get it now

Wow you just can't stop talking about that can you. Do you think that is some sort of magic bullet or something?
I am not aware of any capability of Visual Studio or any other tool to sort source code. If you want to view your classes, methods, properties, events etc., in sorted order try using the Object Browser in Visual Studio, it sorts everything alphabetically.

You have never heard of settings file.....strange
goto tools -> import export settings and you will get settings file.
try open it and you will know what is that

These settings files will allow you to import and export the choices you make using Tools/Customize and Tools/Options. This would make it easy to have your environment on your home PC identical to your office PC, for example.
So unless you can find a way to achieve the sorting you desire using Customize or Options, I don't think the settings file will be any help.

How do I get which column is clicked when I click on the column header?
I know how to get the column name with this code
lstListViewColumns[1].Text;
But how do I get the name of the columnheader I clicked?
|
|
|
|
|
The index of the column you clicked is part of the ColumnClickEventArgs you receive when the ColumnClick event is fired.

Hi all,
I'm using the following batch file to install my service (which I found here[^]).
But every time I run the batch file I receive the following error:
Installing EIHubService...
---------------------------------------------------
Microsoft (R) .NET Framework Installation utility Version 1.1.4322.573
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 1998-2002. All rights reserved.
Exception occurred while initializing the installation:
System.BadImageFormatException: The format of the file 'EIHubService.exe' is inv
alid..
---------------------------------------------------
Press any key to continue . . .
According to some article on the web it has to do with the version of .Net framework that the installer finds first or something like that.
This is the contents of my batch file:
@ECHO OFF
REM The following directory is for .NET 2.0
set DOTNETFX2=%SystemRoot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
set PATH=%PATH%;%DOTNETFX2%
echo Installing EIHubService...
echo ---------------------------------------------------
InstallUtil /i EIHubService.exe
echo ---------------------------------------------------
PAUSE
echo Done.
Is there anything wrong with it?
Thanks in advance
Regards

You are trying to install the Windows Service which has been compiled with .NET 2.0 compiler using InstallUtil that ships with .NET Framework 1.1.

Well good for you. Now what? Was there a question in there anywhere at all? Hellooooooo - no it's not hiding behind the full stop.

Yes, in the subject line.

Nope - that wasn't a question? There wasn't anywhere near enough detail for that to be considered a question. The subject line is open to way too many interpretations, so a question should be asked in the body of the text to clarify exactly what the OP wanted and what they had tried for themselves.
