hello friends,
i am doing one small project for an company,there they want to store the details of their customer.I finished it.but only thing is in my system i place the Database file in c:\ drive.so,i place the
cn = New OleDb.OleDbConnection("Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=c:\ABS.mdb")
if the company owner wants to change the file location to the current directory means each time he has to change the path or is there any way to tell or define the cuurent directory like VB.
in VB we give &APPPATH& like this any thing in VB.NET.
i am using VB.Net 2005 Professional version.

I'm not shure but I think you want the 'application.startuppath' this is the location on the hard drive where the exe of the programme is stored
If my help was helpfull let me know, if not let me know why.

Hi,
I am not sure if I got you right, but to bind an array to a listbox you can do the following:
Dim arr() as string = {"A", "B", "C"}
Listbox1.Datasource = arr ' -> A, B, and C will be displayed in three items
Hope this helps

Good Afternoon All
i have this an SQl join, and in my Dataset like this
Dim strSQL As String = "select count(p1.Property_ID)from Property p1 " & _
" where Not Exists" & _
" (select 1 from Attribute_codes_test p2 " & _
" where p2.Attrib_code = Substring(p1.Attrib_code, 1, 8) " & _
" and p1.Active= 1) " .
i want to display it in a label, but i cant convert it to intiger, because i i cannot convert a dataset to intiger, so through a dataset i manage to carry the results of the above to my form, but now, when i try to Display this like this
lblCount.DataBindings.Add("text", mdscount, "Property.??????")
.
on the Above code, i dont know what to put where ???? appears because this comes from join. and i try to put an Existing field in my table like this
lblCount.DataBindings.Add("text", mdscount, "Property.Lis_key")
.
i get this Error
Cannot create a child list for field Property. .
Thanks

Hello,
I have a program consisting of four modules and three forms. When I try to terminate it using following sub:
Public Sub END_IT()
Unload Form1
Unload inicializace
Unload tech_krivka
MsgBox "applicaion terminated", vbInformation
End
End Sub
the MsgBox appear, but then the program get stuck and it's neccesary to quit it from TaskManager (where CPU usage 99% for the VB6.EXE is shown).
When made to .exe file, the situation is the same except CPU usage 0%.
thank you for your oppinion

Why don't u write simply
"End"
insted of unloading all the forms?
Tell me if it works
|
|
|
|
|
Because I've tried it and it was all the same. So I've looked in VB6 Help and:
"
The End statement provides a way to force your program to halt. For normal termination of a Visual Basic program, you should unload all forms. Your program closes as soon as there are no other programs holding references to objects created from your public class modules and no code executing.
