Hi,
Yesterday I made my first Project Wizard and it's working like a charm!! Now there is a little feature I'd like to add:
- All the project is based on classes derivated from GameState class
- The current wizard creates a GameState derivated class as a start
- I need to put a wizard in the Add Item box, so the programer can add a new derivated class if he wants to create another game state. (It should create the .cpp and .h files). This wizard should also shows a screen so the programer choose between the game states I provide.

hai all,
here iam facing some problem with deletefile.
it goes like this,
1.if i create a file using windows(rightclick>new>text document) and delete it through code then it is working.
2.if i create a file using FILE *fp;
and try to delete it, then it is unable to delete it.
iam unable to analyse any more on it.
please give your ideas and different possibilities to solve the problem.
or if any body can suggest any other technique, which works, it would be appreciable.

Are you closing the created/opened file before trying to delete it?

YES iam closing the files(fclose).
and more over, the files were created in previous sessions. not in the session where iam trying to delete them.
and my files have the extension .cry does it matter?
here are some case studies.
1.iam trying to delete the s1.cry(created by my application) like this
filename="s1.cry";
DeleteFile(rootpath+"\\cryfiles\\"+filename);
RESULT : no use.
2.now i rename it through windows like s1.cry1 and
filename="s1.cry1";
DeleteFile(rootpath+"\\cryfiles\\"+filename);
RESULT : successful.
any ideas?

I make it like follows:

But I am in MFC, I dont know if u can use the CFile

but this gave me some clue to proceed further.

To be honest... I have not tried more than what I told you. Im in a new project and my time for VC++ is limited. I will take a look this weekend at home. But it actually won't be so easy. I can not simulate your problem, my scrolls are working ok.

And be sure to close the file handle you're using...

i have a bmp file which created by the application and now i want take printout of this bmp file through programming.

i am unable to send this bmp to printer so please give me some how can i take printout.

Printing is not so easy to be just told here.

Start reading in the Print area of the website and post when you stuck with some code.

To print you will need use a DeviceIndependantBitmap (DIB) with the palette and so on, to ensure printing in as much printers as you can. Watch out with the MAPMODE and the coordinates, they may not be compatible with screen and if u take methodes from other places, what works in one side, here won't.

to print bitmap, I usually use the StrechtBlt ().

to print CListCtrl... I am not really sure if there is something that automates / makes it easy to be printed. I printed the CListCtrl table by hand. Making the lines and writing the contents using "for" and other things.

I recommend you to read the articles about printing by Roger Allan, to begin introducing yourself in printing are quite usefull, but there are aspects that are not commented in them.

You can use of BitBlt with a handle to dc of printer.

Personally I prefer to use StrechtBlt in printing jobs. Main reason is that usually the size of the view is not the same as the printing area, so zooms may be needed.

I have loaded image in picture box

It's displaying in center. It gets reduced in size in picture box.
So I need to calculate the reduced size in picture box as image is displayed in center of picture box.

how can I calculate that?

Did you use of StretchBlt?
