I tried calling the API you suggested, but it's still not working Frown | :(

Please help me, can you show me some codes? I am trying to delete Windows\Fonts not font resources in a project but the actual fonts in the C:\windows\fonts.

If you can't provide any more specific information than "it's still not working" I am done helping you. On the link I previously gave you... at the bottom there is a "See Also" section with a "Fonts and Text Overview" link. I strongly suggest you read the documentation.

Hi,

I already read the documentation, sorry if you misunderstood my question that you became a "Mind Reader". Fonts and Text Overview are for project resources I don't know if you are aware of the topic I have posted "Add/Remove Windows Fonts Programmatically" what I am trying to do is actually removing fonts from the Windows Fonts table and not those that I want to add in my project and remove afterwards I am done using it.

To explain further here is what my project requirements are:

1. A watch folder in a network drive has been setup where users can add and remove fonts for global use.
2. My application is installed in multiple work stations inside Local Areak Network and will be watching #1, if there are fonts in the watch folder that does not exist in their local machine, my application should add it (this part is already working perfectly fine)

If somebody delete fonts in the watch folder, what my application would do is send out a notification to all users that a font has been deleted from the watch folder "AND IT SHOULD DELETE THE LOCAL MACHINE FONT (Windows Font)" as well.

I hope that by giving this requirements you'll understand what I am trying to achive and that what you suggested is totally out of line co'z "Fonts and Text" focus on your Visual Studio Project Resources and not the Windows Font Environtment.

Depends on your definition of "working fine". Based on your post I doubt you used AddFontResource to do that so I would not consider it "working fine".

I am not so familiar with using .dll.
I want to realize the following:

I have a .exe project. From this I want to call some newly added .dll functions. For the .exe project, I just use reflection to call the .dll funcitons by their function names. Now the problem is that how the .exe project can take into account the newly added .dll functions?
For a .sln project, of course I can add any .dll by using "add reference". But once it is compliled into .exe, how include then?

Have u ever noticed that there are .dll files in a Directory
Well that it.

U need to put the Ref .dll with the .exe

if those dll are closed (ofcourse)

if they are not (u can actually see the code inisde)
just copy pasdte the code to an myAddons.cs custom file u create and compile

While Adding A Ref in visual studio

u actually creates an instane of that dll in the \bin\Debug folder
Check it...

The dll "walks with u"

if the dll can be decompiled and u can open it with VS and see it's Content
well that's it, just copy the function to a .cs file under your namespace

Why all The mess
Why not just using the : SqlDataAdaptor

i've been using OdbcDataAdaptor, & OledbDataadaptor

and it's easy
no 100 Line codes, but half and even less

Try it

It's actually creates a conector betwen your DB and your Data Grid

ya i know its really using OledbDataadaptor but my database is not in MS Access but in Sql Server... so everything i need to write is using sql commands .. can u help me with that ?

Dear Friends,

How we can keep data after inserting in formview controls?.

When i'm inserting a record formview will fire a method, that method is calling a stored procedure. If Stored Procedure is return error i want to keep data in my formview.

How i can solve this issue?

Hi...

I have a really strange behaviour in a piece of code where I'd like to encrypt and decrypt data. I wrote a small program to test, when I saw that everything was working fine I did a copy/paste of that code in my main app...

I can't understand why: in my main app the decryption, when I do the FlushFinalBlock(), throw me a Bad Data...

The strange thing is that when I encrypt in my main app, the decryption in my test program works fine...

any idea?

I got a similar behaviour when I didn't close the encrypt stream correctly. It didn't write the final bytes until I did that.

C# Web Browser problem

I have written a small app for displaying a web site, the app will check where the navigation is going etc before alowing to proceed.

everything works well apart from one thing, one of the pages has a map written in flash, now when viewed using ie you can drag an item around the map, when i view in my app the flash map is very jerky and doesnt alway move the item round the map... i am wondering if there is something in the program which could be taking the focus and not allowing the flash to work properly...

anyone got any ideas ??

We've seen various issues with Flash as well, and with the WebBrowser in general. There seems to be some mouse activation/clicking bugs that are caused by the managed WebBrowser. I'd try using the unmanaged mshtml COM component (upon which the WebBrowser is based) and see if anything is fixed for you.

I will explain - some application launch my win-form application - this my Form need to be on always on top of this application. So i want need to know the windows id of the application.

I can know the title of this application ( with windows title ).

You would need to use the FindWindow function from the Win32 API. Check this[^] out for an example of finding the window handle.
