hi,
using C# i did a user control that i want to use from web page.
when i tried the control using windows application it works ok.
when i add it as object to the web page it is never loaded.
this control uses a special dll which is needed for its operation.
could it be the reason for the problem?
how can i add external dll's so they will be installed on the client side?

First, I like to clarify some background information about your first line. By default, any .NET Windows Forms controls are not exactly ActiveX controls. You can use ActiveX controls and embed it directly on any web page, but ActiveX control means it can only run on Internet Explorer.
Secondly, any Windows Forms control you've created needs to be wrapped as a COM object. COM object itself is an ActiveX control. After this, you can embed it in any web pages. Good luck.

How to bind the Records To hashTable...,
Example:
Select Id,Name as Employee
In this query I like to bind the id as key and Name as Value in that hash table...,

Logically no. but if you want to use it in this way then just write small wrap around method to do this.

I add Item in dropdownlist =(Add New). To Show the Items(Add New) use by property = AppendDataBound = True. And AutoPostBack = True.I want that when click the dropdownlist then appear the text box. Enter any value and Button Click to save database. My dropdownlist attach the database.
My Event is
protected void ddlItemtype_SelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (ddlItemtype.SelectedIndex == 0)
{
txtItemType.Visible = true;
}
}
but this event is not working.
Anybody please help me.

Have you put any validator controls in the page?
or set Cause validation property false and try it

I got following scenario:
User control placed on default.aspx page, in my user control i got a text box and "Submit" button is on my user control.
Now i need to add the validat my text box (which is in user control) when user clicks "Submit" button then i should show error message. I need to do my validation on client side
I tried it by adding an attribut to my button like this :
BtnSave.Attributes.Add("onclick", "if (!ValidateSecActionType()) return false; ");
then i wrote this code in codefront page :
function ValidateSecActionType()
{
if(document.getElementById('txtSecActionTypeTitle').innerText == "1" )
{
document.getElementById('AlertLbl').style.visibility = 'visible' ;

}
now when i run my page i have an error like this :
Object Required

Could you share some more information about the error message, like when and where it occurs, and what code line it refers to?
I don't know if this is the cause of the error, but:
The innerText property is only available in Internet Explorer, and probably only in quirks mode. Use innerHTML instead.

go to view source, and check whether the, 'txtSecActionTypeTitle' is same or it is comming with some prefixfollowed with and underscore.
eg:
'ctl00_txtSecActionTypeTitle'

Split it with /, you will get a string array. From that you can take name easily

Why not? That's the most efficient way of getting a part of a string.
Use the IndexOf method to get the location of the "/" character, then use Substring to get the part of the string after that:
string name = path.Substring(path.IndexOf('/') + 1);
