in the particular row of dropdownlist , how can i change the label value when i change the dropdownlist selected index.so the changes should be done at that row only.i mean a row(gridview row) contains a label and a dropdownlist.when i changed the index of dropdownlist the corresponding label value should get changed only i that row.

If you need to do this in server side, you have to make the dropdown's autopost back true and attach an event with that. This can be done easily on client side. You have to write a javascript function that accepts your DropDown id and Label id.
In datagrid's item_databound event, add the javascript attributes to your dropdown.

You have to create SelectedIndexChanged Event of Dropdownlist on RowCreated Event of gridview.
for Example
OnRowCreatedEvent
DropDownList ddl=(DropDownList)e.Rows.Findcontrol("ddlID");
ddl.ID=e.Rows.RowIndex;
ddl.SelectedIndexChanged+=(Press tab 2times);
now On SelectedIndexChanged Event you can easily change corresponding label of Selected Rows
Int index=Convert.ToInt32((DropDownList)Sender).ID);
((Label)GridView1.Rows[index].FindControl("lblID")).Text="Value Changed";

Since you don't know how many DropDown controls would be there, it's better to put those in a GridView/Datagrid template column.

where u r storing the uploaded files? in DataBase or in any folder at physical Directory?

As I told, you have to pass both text box id's. Already you have defined a javascript method to handle button click. So what's the problem ? To get values of text box, use getElementById() to find the texbox object and get value.

We developed a website using .Net 2.0, we run the system on IE7 operating system Windows XP, we use the CSS to format the style of the text, it look fine. But when we run the website on IE7 operating system windows vista the CSS format did not take effect on the text. Is there any bugs on Windows Vista

The design of the page work properly on IE7 operating system Windows XP, but on IE7 operating system Windows Vista the CSS did not work properly. Till now I'm still thinking that we the same code and the same IE browser which is IE7 the only diffirence is the Operating System.

.NET comes with powerful encrypion libraries. Use System.Cryptograhy namespace.

I'm learning ASP .NET 2.0. I have a question about the DataGrid (gridview) component. I am working on a simple project where I would like to have a textbox where a user can update hours. Is it possible for every row to have a text box there so anyone can change several hours for each row and save them all at once? That way, no one would have to click edit, and then update for each row. This is the only field editable on this page. Thanks for you input.
