What is the font size you have mentioned in the code and what size it is changing to small or big?

The page has a tree control, a label control, a textbox and a button.
When the button is clicked a postback occurs and the size of tree control and label control changes from X-small to medium and height of textbox changes from 13px to 2 px.
Thanks,
Srikanth

ASP.NET 1.1 to ASP.NET 2.0 Migration #2
I believe that MS_POSITIONING keyword is deprecated in ASP.NET 2.0.
ASP.NET 1.1
<body MS_POSITIONING="FlowLayout">
ASP.NET 2.0
By default, ASP.NET 2.0 is based on Flow Layout. So just remove the MS_POSITIONING keyword.
<body>
But how about GridLayout?
That is a very good question. Since all the ASP.NET 2.0 by default are based on FlowLayout, how can we change this?
ASP.NET 1.1
<body MS_POSITIONING="GridLayout">
ASP.NET 2.0
You still have to remove the keyword MS_POSITIONING like this:
<body>
But in order for you to use grid layout for absolute positioning of controls, do this:
In your VS 2005 IDE, click on Tools -> Options -> HTML Designer -> CSS Positioning
Then checks the "Change positioning to the following for controls added using the Toolbox, paste or drag and drop", then selects "Absolute Positioned"
OR you can do this:
Say you only want certain control to be absolute and others still based on flow layout. Select a control on the designer and then go to Layout -> Position
Change from Not Set to Absolute
--------
Thnks for posting this question. I too donno the answer. got this from some .net forum

i have made one double type collection editor in web control library project.
the collection gets displayed properly at design time and i am able to add and remove items also but my problem is that value entered at design time does not effect the control at runtime.
Here's the code :
First of all I designed a class for creating a List Collection :
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Text;
using System.Collections;
namespace Funnel
{
public class SectionValue : CollectionBase
{
public double this[int index]
{
get
{
return ((double)List[index]);
}
set
{
List[index] = value;
}
}
public int Add(double value)
{
return (List.Add(value));
}
public int Add(string value)
{
try
{
double c = Convert.ToDouble(value);
return (List.Add(c));
}
catch (Exception)
{
throw new ArgumentException(string.Format(
"Error converting the given string '{0}' to a color",
value), "value");
}
}
public bool Contains(double value)
{
// If value is not of type Color, this will return false.
return (List.Contains(value));
}
public int IndexOf(double value)
{
return (List.IndexOf(value));
}
public void Insert(int index, double value)
{
List.Insert(index, value);
}
public void Remove(double value)
{
List.Remove(value);
}
public SectionValue(double[] sections) : base()
{
foreach (double s in sections)
{
this.Add(s);
}
}
public SectionValue()
: base()
{}
}
}
Then I use object of the class in my control as follows :
protected SectionValue m_SectionValue;
and write property for it as follows :
[Bindable(true)
, Category("Appearance")
, Browsable(true)
, PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.Attribute)
, DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Content)
]
public SectionValue UserDefinedSection
{
get
{
if (m_SectionValue == null)
m_SectionValue = new SectionValue();
return m_SectionValue;
}
set
{
m_SectionValue = value;
}
}
Now this code is working perfectly regarding displaying the collection editor and add/deleting values from it. Even I am able to add/delete values from code-behind.
But the values added during design time do not get reflected at run-time. If I assign values to collection from code-behind file then the values get reflected at run-time but not from design-time.
Thanks & Regards,
Ujjaval Modi.

Hi Guys and Gals.
I have a grid view with static data. The last column is a textbox template field. Now what I am trying to do is:
Once the user has filled in a value and move away from this textbox control (say to the next row), I want to validate the value entered into this textbox and then update the value in one of the static fields of the GridView control.
Can anybody give me advise on what will be the most efficient way of doing this please?

Hi,
Would love to buy a book and practice, but unfortunately there just isn't time for that. This project needs to be done by tomorrow. So, yes, in normal situations I do what you say, but this is not one of those normal situations. At this point the completion is more important than learning, that is why I asked for help or to be pointed at least into a direction. I didn't ask you to write me the code now did I?

Elizma

I have done something like this but I just want to validate for decimal values. Some what like this:
<asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Typing Charges">
<ItemTemplate>
<asp:TextBox ID="txtTypingCharges" runat="server" Width="80px" CssClass="text" Text='<%#Databinder.Eval(Container.Dataitem,"Charges")%>' MaxLength="8" onkeypress="return onlyDigits(this);">
</asp:TextBox>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>
Javascript function will be:
function onlyDigits(e)
{
var retKey = true;
var IsTwoDecimal = e.value.indexOf(".");
if (window.event.keyCode < 46 || window.event.keyCode > 57 || window.event.keyCode == 47)
{
window.event.keyCode = 0;
retKey = false;
}
else
{
//This code is used to restrict two decimal cost e.g.= 23.55 is valid
//but cost=45.55.66. is not valid.
if (IsTwoDecimal !=-1)
{
var s=e.value.split(".");
if (window.event.keyCode==46 || s[1].length>=2)
{
window.event.keyCode = 0;
retKey = false;
}
}
}
return (retKey);
}
Hope it helps u???
