Well then if you can verify in debug mode that the code behind is getting hit. If that is happening when that page comes back up, the question would be do you have pop up blockers that might be blocking the message box? You can always check the source of the page with View source. You should see the javascript toward the bottom of the page.
At this point I would be guess that it is either a pop up blocker or the code behind isn't getting hit or something like that.

I am Creating Textbox dynamically.
I am making a check if the Textbox is null I want to Throw an Error via MessageBox.
I dont want it Onclick of button. I want to display the MessageBox on particular
condition.
Eg:
if(txtName.Text=="")
ShowDialog("Name Cannot Be Empty");//MESSAGE BOX

I am doing an application in which i want to check the column values Date format
with that i stored in Database..
For eg:
The employee details are entered and the date is given as 20/10/2007.
I wanna enter another details but never the date should be entered twice..
As the user logs in he can enter new data, but can edit only a data field with a
date specified earlier...
In short a date should appear only once in database,,

I think that best way to do this is to create insert store procedure. Inside proc you ought first check if insert date exist like:
select * from table where columnDate = insert date param.
if @@rowcount > 0 it means that date exeist and you shoud return some custom error for handling in your application.
else you do insert.

i have developed a small web application in Visual Studio 2005.
when i am running my application from the vs its ok but if i close the vs and give the same url in the browser it is shows me an error stating
"Server cannot access application directory 'E:\datasetfill\'. The directory does not exist or is not accessible because of security settings."
any way also i havent saved my application in e:\datasetfill then i copied my applnand pasted in e:\datasetfill then is giving
"Configuration Error "

i also created a virtual directory for that folder
can any one gimme a suggestion/solution to solve this problem

u can't change it... if u want to use ur own database...u have to use ur own controls instead of login control...

I have an application running on the server,lately I've had problems with it I keep getting the configuration error below. The application runs well on my local machine, problems come when running it on the server. i've tried almost everything I thought could help but the error doen't go way.Please help out

Add the reference of rystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine on the server machine,if u r using setup file then add the same dll in the prerequisites of he setup project.

Hi....
The problem is it is unable to find the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine dll
solution is to add reference in the application and while deploying the application you need to ensure that dll is present in server,if it is not there in server then you need to add that dll in to your server.

One obvious way is to send it to the server with AJAX. Another is to put your data in a hidden field, comma seperated perhaps.
Please don't ask twice.
