Dear Sir
I have tried to enter the code myself.I have a manage categories page and a default page. the details view is supposed to show the category id from the manage categories page in a dropdownlist on the default page. i checked and rechecked the foriegn keys, the sqldatasource. ect ect . It just wont do what i need it todo.

My problem is,
I form a string...
string filter="dataView"+someIndicator+".RowFilter='someField="+someExpression+"'"
... and now I want execute that string. What should I do?

or
Eval(filter) ?
I would be very thankful if anybody could give an advise.

There is no such thing as an Eval function in C#. You should rethink the solution.
You can for example keep an array or a list of the data views that you create, so that you easily can access them by index.

Implement all the necessary classes(styles) that is need for the whole application in a .CSS file(style sheet). Make another copy of the same style sheet with the same classes implemented but with different styles. Now you have two different themes for your application. In the base class, based on some condition you decide which CSS file you application has to refer.

The contents of the IFRAME element can be a aspx or html page. You can't set the source to a UserControl. I suggest you to Place the UserControl in a aspx Page and set the source to that Page.

Hi,
I m using framework 1.1,
Just i want my project don't give the error message of conncetion.......
I have connction problem.
My Conncetion losts everytime, while i m in page that takes more time to fill the informations.
2nd problem is SESSION..
session time?
from where to set a session time..
i want long session time, just like for 45 minutes.
Actually I have set time in Web.config . but i think it is not woking.

In this statement 50 is minutes or seconds?
What settings i have to make.
Do i have to set SQL Command timeout myCommand.CommandTimeout = 180;? Can This time affect my conncetion?

The architecture is dependent on the requirements the project should implement.
There is no one-fits-all architecture.
Therefore your answer can't be really answered.
Of course, you can look for some best-practices, but nothing specific:
- UI specific: ModelViewPresenter
- Design for testability: DesignPatternsForUnitTest
- and many more...

2. Edit columns
3. Add command feild.
4.Click ok.
5.Click on smart tag of grid
6.Select edit columns
7.Select the button added
8.Remove button and add a image button
9.Go to edit templates
10. give image url.

Hi,
I have installed asp.net 2.0 and 1.0 on my pc in C drive. I have a service pack 4 in my pc. When I was debugging the web application in 2.0 it was debug fine but when I was trying to debugging the web application in 1.0 it gives message as-----Unable to start debugging on the web server.
Can any one give me solution for this

i am working on a webapplication in which i have to create pdf file using itextsharp(must as customer want to use this only). here i will have a gridview which is not databound, not have any column at design time. on page load only i will create a datatable based on some data and bind it to gridview.
after this i need to do formatting of some specific rows in the girdview. this formatting will use pre tag with some attributes like font-family, size, style. so while displaying the gridview after page load some rows of gridview will have specific formatting tags in it's cell's text.
on click of a button i need to create a pdf file using itextsharp. i am able to create pdf only problem is all formatting tags are appearing in file, they are not being replaced with thier html meaning.
can anybody help me to sort it out? please it's very much required at this time...

U can easily do it using JavaScript .....
