if you are using athird party grid control then u ill be having lot of grid properties...though if ,net native controls then u should write ud function to achive..these things...

Problem with authentication

Hi!

I have a serious problem with a web application i'm working on. I use forms authentication to authenticate users, but the problem is that when the user is not logged in the site has no style until the user gets logged in. When he logs out the style dissapears again. I have used some css for styling, but i'm really lost with here.

Any help is well appreciated!

Problem is with the authentication or with the CSS styles?

It seems that you may have denied the access to your images folder[hope your css file is in images folder] for all anonymous users. You can provide access by adding the following in web.config

Session Time out Expire problem

hi all,
i m running .net application version 1.1 on web server, in this application i have create a user control in which i made login form , in this form when user login , his username value assign to a session variable,n in web config i session setting is as follow:

<sessionstate mode="InProc" stateconnectionstring="tcpip=127.0.0.1:42424" sqlconnectionstring="data source=127.0.0.1;UID=userid;PWD=password"
cookieless="false" timeout="10000">

this is running correctly on my local host but whn i put this on web server within 5 minutes session outs, i dont understand the problem, plz help me its very urgent.

To share an assembly within a web application we add the assembly in the \bin folder. If we need to share between mulitple ASP.NET web application then we can install it in the (GAC)Global Assembly Cache.

ASp.NET is not really the best way to write a chat app, unless you use AJAX a lot. I'd say a windows app makes more sense.

The core issue is, you need a central server so you can find IP addresses of people you want to chat to.

Like I said. A central server, which all clients log in to. That logs all the IP addresses of people who are online and handles connecting them to each other.

HI,

I am kalyan working as S/Engineer .. from Last 6months .

You could try asking hte author, but the fact is a lot of javascripted controls have this issue, I don't know if it's solvable.

Hi all I am developing on application for Online Antakshari. I record the voice perfeactly. Now I want to compare the original file with new one means registration time voice and singing voice is it the same voice or not ok.

for this I want to developed first sound equalizer so it will be easy in flash to compare both file. And if u have any solution for developing sound equalizer in dotnet pls tell me. To generate sound equalizer in flash I have to convert wav(Sound) file in either xml format or txt format, So if u have any idea or code to convert wav file to xml or txt format tell me and if u have any idea about sound equalizer then also tell me
