Fisrt Of all You have to add Custom Control DLL in ToolBox.
Right Click on ToolBox-->Choose Items-->Click on Browse in DialogBox-->Add DLL of Custom Control and Apply.
Your Custom control will be added in ToolBox now You can drag and drop that control in your web page.

Create a project of type "Class library" and add your code. Visual studio will generate the DLL in the "bin" folder of your application on successful build. Any changes made prior to a rebuild will be included in the modified DLL.

Hi,
I am working on gridview control...
it shows data from a table having columns Sid, Sname,....
I want to hide the sid column from vewing in gridview but use its value on selecting a particular row.
how to achieve this...
I used mygridview.columns[0].visible= false;
but it gives :
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection

use gridview.DataKeyNames property for fetching data from it.
use gridview.DataKeyNames = "sid,... and more";
bind your grid.
and for fetching it use
string id = gridview.SelectedDataKey["sid"].ToString();
or
string id = gridview.DataKeys[0 or 1 or 2 or 3 or ...]["sid"].ToString();

hi guys,.
i would like to store text(using textbox) in my database.. but i have lot of space between first and last name.. for eg: if i put 10 char space b/w first and last means i should print text with only single space..
question:- textbox1=syed hussain
answer:- textbox2=syed hussain

try the following code.... its written in c#

str = str.Trim(); // remove any spaces from start and end of the string
int index = str.IndexOf(" "); // get the index of the first space
str = str.Replace(" ",""); // remove all spaces
str = str.Insert(index, " "); // insert single space at the position of INDEX

I have to call a javascript from my cs page. It should be called exactly when the page loads. How can I do it ? I know how to call that on a button click but how can I call the javascript on page load event?

u have olready have a javascript function in page for example:

I am working on a photo sharing website. By using flickr API service I can sent pictures to flickr but that require me to go on flickr's website and log in there. I want to save flickr login info in my application so that I should internaly login user to flickr and send his pictures directly.
This is called one click upload.
If anyone of you have done it before or something similiar to it please let me know.

your dll may be use any activex object that it's required to register in windows registery HKEYs.
u most register your com class in windows registery.
see your comm class help.
