if i want to delete the selected row in a list view i use:
if (listView1.SelectedItems.Count > 0)
{
if (MessageBox.Show("Vill du verkligen ta bort denna?", "Mina jobb",
MessageBoxButtons.YesNo, MessageBoxIcon.Question)
== DialogResult.Yes)
{
for (int i = listView1.SelectedItems.Count - 1; i >= 0; i--)
listView1.Items.Remove(listView1.SelectedItems);
}
}
But if i want to delete this selected row from a .txt file how do i do that..???
it´s four subitems and the .txt file look like this

It's your course assignment not ours. I'm pretty sure the point of the assignment is for "you" to figure that out rather than for you to go out on the internet and ask people how to do it. I mean really, you are in school now, if this is not the time when you are going to start thinking for yourself and developing problem solving skills, when are you?

This article will help you to do that: http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/SlideShowBuilder.asp

This article also deals only with images, but how can i extract a file independent from its file type?
I want to extract my test.sys driver.

In that case have a look at my another article: http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/mp3toexe.asp

Yes but they can't display ECW files. I must have a control that displays maps in ECW format.
PS: Thanks for the reply!

Hello,
On a lot of websites now, you can just enter your house number and postcode and it will bring up the rest of the details. Well, i want to implement this into one of my projects.
Does anyone know what this is called? and if so, is it free to download?
Regards,
Gareth.

Downloading something is unlikely as you'll need a regularly-updated database of postcodes and addresses. As you said postcode, I assume you want details for the UK, so Royal Mail provide all this information, but not for free.
There are companies that provide web services to do what you want, again unlikely to be free.
Try here.[^]

Hi Craster,
Since this is a personal project, i don't want to pay for something that isn't critical but useful.
Thanks for the reply.

Gareth.

Unfortunately, Royal Mail has a license on the address data so you end up having to pay for it. Companies such as GB Mail and QAS tend to roll the license into their own, so you end up paying one fee which covers their license and the Royal Mail one.
Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

Hi Pete,
Ahh well. Looks like I'm not gonna be able to do this then.
Cheers anyways!

I am currently tasked with providing a friendlier user interface here at work that will provided new features, but also will interact with several console apps. I need to be able to read/write to these applications. The key is being able to read and write multiple times to the same process.
I understand that I could use batch files for this but this will not provide the real-time feedback and interaction that I need to pull this off cleanly.
I am a former VB6 developer that has been using C# for a short time now. I have written similar applications to this one in VB6 using a DLL written by Franky Braem (http://www.codeproject.com/atl/redirect.asp). This worked great and is what I need to recreate in C#.
I have a code that is capable of reading and writing to the console using the System.Diagnostic namespace redirecting stdin, stdout and stderr (single thread). My issue with this code is that I have to close the StreamWriter of the process in order to read the stdout. Due to this when I attempt to send a subsequent string to the console I get an error that the TextWriter has been closed. Can I reopen this? I cannot locate anything on doing this.
I played with a second example written by Scott Hanselman (http://www.hanselman.com/blog/SoManyMistakesForMeToMakeSoLittleTimecapturingStandardErrorAndStandardOutput.aspx) that is multithreaded. This exhibits the same behavior described above.
In reality I would really like a C# version of Franky Braem's redirect DLL in C#. Any help here will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

mbender wrote: then I need to know how to write to the Textbox control from a different thread.
Have you searched for information on that? Have you tried the C# threading tutorial here on CodeProject?

Sorry got the thread issue resolved. What I cannot get is a class that acts like the redirect library referenced at the beginning.

hi,
This is little complex...
i have Ant script which calls 'devenv.exe' to compile a project written in .net 2005. Here a third party dll is used(it was developed in .net framewrk 1.1. and i'm using framewrk 2.0)
When i compile the project from solution explorer, it compiles without any error. But when i do it by using devenv.exe, it says that it can't locate the dll...below is the error:
"C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Microsoft.Common.targets : warning MSB3245: Could not resolve this reference. Could not locate the assembly "signdll". Check to make sure the assembly exists on disk. If this reference is required by your code, you may get compilation errors."
can anyone tell why this happens?
