That is for BIOS Password.

Hardly you will find that password simply looking through files and folders: surely it is crypted and hided somewhere.
The better way to solve this is to enter into the system as administrator, take the document files of that user, remove the account, create a new accout and copy there the old documents.

At the start of a pc every one will give a password to login(its not mandatory) where that password will store in that pc?....

I need a menu that will axiomatically close after 10 seconds but if you press enter then it lunches other batch file...

I dont think you will be able to do that directly from cmd commands inside the bat file.. But you could make it run some VB scripts which then sleep for 10 secs and then closes the cmd.exe process or alike (! if there are never any others..)
It was a long time ago i worked with *.vbs files from within cmd but i do remember you can do stuff like sleep, emulate keys etc so it should be possible one way or another

Well, you won't be able to scan a machine for pirated software, because how do you know what's pirated and what isn't?
What you really need to do is keep a database of all the licenses you purchase, then use a scan tool to compare install count of applications against your database.
I've previously used HP's Enterprise Discovery and Assetcenter to do this. Most systems management tools will be able to collect installed software information from a machine.

This can not be a one-step process.
1) You need to ensure comparing inventory with Add Remove Programs Applet
2) Network MOnitoring in case some installed Spyware sends network info.
3) A Windows Service to scan additional EXEs can help.

Hi I want to monitor a "DIRECTORY" if any log file is writing to it: "Error : xxx" - if located, a specified Exe can be triggered to execute.
Anyone suggest a tool with which this objective can be accomplished?
I also tried to accomplish the same by:

Basically I tried to monitor all log files in C:\temp directory, if any log file created/updated since last night, execute "LogMonAction.exe" or another log file.
Problem with above script is, there's no such comparison operator "CONTAINS", and you cant do this on a DIRECTORY. And let aside the additional requirement - only files updated/created since last night.

Is anyone a DOS scripting expert? We need help with the script below. The kill processes at the bottom are hanging if the process does not exist. Does anyone know of a way of only killing the process if it exists? Any sort of help with error checking would be useful too.

You need to use tasklist along with a filter to find out if the task exists. If it does, you can kill it.
